DESCRIPTION:Come for a few hours of respite and enjoy mugs of non-stop chai\, organic Alter Eco chocolates and the inspiration of exotic music and good friends! Featuring musicians John Wubbenhorst on Bansuri Flute and Jesse Stern on Tabla. \nABOUT THE MUSICIANS\nJohn Wubbenhorst is a eclectic world musician having played flutes\, keyboards and well known as a composer. Over the last 2 decades\, John has concentrated on the bansuri (North Indian bamboo flute) which he learned from the Great maestro Hariprasad Chaurasia. John is the founder of the East/West ensemble “Facing East Music” and has released 10 CDs of his music. John has also played with many greats East and West including Victor Wooten\, Jack DeJohnette\, Hariprasad Chaurasia\, Larry Coryell\, Paul McCandless\, Ramesh Mishra\, and others. \n\nJesse Stern is a student of tabla master Swapan Chaudhuri. Jesse Stern is a student of Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri at the Ali Akbar College of Music in San Rafael. He has studied tabla there since 2013 and in addition he has a background in Jazz Guitar Performance\, completing his degree at Portland State University in 2009.
