SUMMARY:Audition for Throckmorton Chorus
DESCRIPTION:AUDITIONS for our Fall/Winter 2019 season chorus will be held August 26th and September 2nd\, 2019 from 6-8:45pm.  Please email Chorus Director Tim Silva at Tim@142ThrockmortonTheatre.org to request an audition slot. \nThe audition process will take about 20 minutes\, and will include warmup exercises\, singing pitches played on the piano\, repeating back a simple melody and some sight-reading. Sight-reading is not required to join the Chorus\, but since we sing from written music\, it helps\, and one of our goals is to develop a basic familiarity with written music in all of our singers. \nREHEARSALS for the Fall/Winter 2019 season will be held Mondays from 6:30-8:45pm at Throckmorton Theatre starting Sept 9th and running through Dec 16th. \nPERFORMANCES This season our Chorus Winter Concert 2019 will be held on Wednesday Dec 18\, 2019 at 8pm. Other additional opportunities may be added from time to time – stay informed by subscribing to our newsletter! \nTHROCKMORTON CHORUS\, inspired by Bay Area master accompanist\, teacher and composer Joe Bloom\, was formed in January 2014 to foster and share the art of choral music and offer an educational process that focuses on the pursuit of choral excellence in repertoire and performance. Today it is composed of 30+ singers from all ages and walks of life who share a love of music and a desire to learn and grow in collaboration with others. Each season the repertoire includes a wide variety of styles allowing members to expand and deepen their skills and understanding of this rich music. The quality and artistry of the chorus\, under the direction of Tim Silva continues to grow each season by leaps and bounds. \n
