DESCRIPTION:January’s Pro Showcase kicking off the 2020 season will feature the songwriting skills of three very talented Bay Area Performers\, the amazing singer Joyce Grant\, keyboard genius\, Herman Eberitzsch and master on the guitar\, Joe Lococo. We are very excited to showcase their original work. We will have Elvis Johnson on drums\, and Kimrea will share some of her original songs as well. \nOur Sunday Pro-Showcases are hosted by Kimrea and feature talented unsung working musicians who form the backbone of the local music scene. Performers are established Bay Area session players\, sidemen and undiscovered talent.  Join us for a musically uplifting complimentary evening in our intimate Tivoli Room. \nThrockmorton Theatre is committed to fostering community and providing enriching and transformtive experiences.  We believe the arts create and bestow community identity and a strong sense of identity and pride rallies confidence\, hope and productivity.   Our free Sunday Sessions offer the community the opportunity to discover inspiring artists and hear them in an intimate setting.  We gratefully accept donations at the door or sponsorships of any of our programs.  The support of the community is essential to these programs – and making them accessible to all. \nKimrea  A prolifically active songwriter\, she has been composing and performing her songs for an impressive four decades. Kimrea sees her songwriting style as a box of many colors with roots in folk\, influences of rock\, nuances of jazz\, touches of blues\, country flavors and pinches of punk. \n
