DESCRIPTION:Tonight at 7pm is the class performance for Funny in Six Weeks\, with Instructor Johnny Steele! \nABOUT THE CLASS\nHave you ever wanted to try perfoming stand up comedy but didn’t know where to start? Well here it is – Funny in Six Weeks with the multi-talented Johnny Steele leading the class! Students will learn comedy essentials including how to write jokes\, the importance of rhythm\, finding your point of view\, how to use tags and act-outs and many more! \nEach student will create a short comedy set and have an opportunity to perform their sets in front of a live audience on the final night. At least one student from the class will be chosen to perform at the Throckmorton’s popular Tuesday Night Comedy Showcase. \nInstructor\nJohnny Steele is a past winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and has performed comedy across the US\, Canada\, and overseas for 30 years. Johnny has been teaching comedy for 15 years and is currently wrapping up his book\, 50 Quick Comedy Tips. He has written for corporate CEOs\, Grammy winning musicians\, and Academy Award winning actors. \n
