Peter Sweet and David Poznanter portray a cast of 6 characters who put on an entire circus\, complete with slackrope\, Cyr Wheel\, juggling and live music. \nBOOM! combines the spectacle and excitement of a circus show with the intimate connection of a theatre piece bringing the audience along for a ride that includes both delicate silence and raucous enjoyment. It’s an explosion of exhilarating entertainment for the entire family! \nTHE CREATORS\nDavid Poznanter\, Mask Maker / Performer \nDavid Poznanter is a professional maskmaker\, circus artist\, singer\, actor\, and dancer. David’s education includes more than 12 years of higher education\, including an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College (USA)\, three years of contemporary dance training at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (Austria)\, and the professional training program at Helikos: International School of Theatre Creation (Italy). \nDavid’s career has led him to perform\, teach\, and choreograph in more than a dozen countries around the world. In recent years David worked as Managing Director of Havik Circus in the Dominican Republic\, performed acrobatics in an 80-city N. American tour with Cirque Dreams\, and spent two years in India as circus coach and personal trainer to Bollywood moviestar Aamir Khan. \nPeter Sweet\, Performer \nPeter Sweet has been working professionally as a circus artist\, actor\, clown\, teacher and director since 2000. He has completed more than 10 years of full time training in the arts\, and toured his solo circus show\, “Meet Pete Sweet\,” to hundreds of festivals\, circuses\, and theaters in more than 20 countries.\nSweet studied physical theater at Helikos: International School of Theater Creation in Florence Italy\, Contemporary dance at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Salzburg\, Austria\, and Circus at the Ecole du Cirque Zofy in Sion\, Switzerland. Sweet’s seemingly infinite desire to master his craft\, is matched only by the heart and sincerity that he pours into every creation. \nMatteo Destro\, Director \nMatteo Destro​ is one of the worlds preeminent mask­makers and directors of mask theater​. ​He co­founded the theatre company ​Teatro Punto​in Spain 2000 and ​Larven Teatro​in Italy 2004\, as well as running the Material­Mask­Space program at the Helikos International School of Theatre Creation\, in Florence\, Italy 2010 – 2014. \n  \n\n \n
