SUMMARY:Danny Click & the Americana Orchestra with special guest Mark Goldenberg!
DESCRIPTION:Danny Click and his band The Hell Yeahs\, recorded Danny Click and the Americana Orchestra at the Throckmorton\,  featuring an all acoustic evening with string quartet. Join us tonight to celebrate the release of Click’s highly anticipated new LIVE CD! Special guest and marvel guitarist Mark Goldenberg will open the evening. \nABOUT\nMark Goldenberg is a guitarist and composer who has played on records for a myriad of artists including Jackson Browne\, Bonnie Raitt\, Linda Ronstadt\, Eels\, Natalie Imbruglia\,Chris Isaak\, Ringo Starr\, Waylon Jennings\, Willie Nelson\, Peter Frampton\, Manolo Garcia\, Joan Baez and William Shatner. He played lead guitar for Jackson Browne from 1994 – 2010.  From 2012-2014 he toured with acclaimed pianist and actor Hugh Laurie. In 2016 he played with Spanish superstar Manolo Garcia. He is also a songwriter and producer\, whose works have been recorded by Linda Rondstat\, Chicago\, Pointer Sisters\, Natalie Imbruglia\, Eels\, Chris Botti\, and Olivia Newton John\, among others. \nMark released his first self titled CD of solo guitar music in 2004 and in 2015 he released “Artifact\,” a recording with guitarist Eric Skye. A new CD of music with his trio\, which includes drummer Jay Bellerose and bassist Jennifer Condos\, was released in 2017. \n\nUntil a few years ago\, Danny Click was one of Austin’s best-kept secrets\, a musician’s musician who’d won the respect of some of alt-country’s biggest names but hadn’t yet found widespread recognition. That changed when Click’s CD Life Is A Good Place\, was released and spent more than 12 consecutive months on the Country\, pop\, and Americana radio charts. \nGuitar virtuoso\, Danny Click has been compared to the best of the best: Lowell George\, Duane Allman\, David Lindley\, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. His sound is a refreshing return to smart\, sassy blues-inflected country rock – think Tom Petty crossed with Wilco\, spiced with the southern tradition of Lucinda Williams and John Hiatt. \nClick and his band The Hell Yeahs\, featuring a round-robin roster of top-shelf musicians\, have played more than 300 sold-out shows over the past two years\, as well as opening for legends Taj Mahal\, Cake\, Robert Plant\, Mavis Staples and Sonny Landreth. Click’s live shows feature an anything-can-happen mix of stellar songwriting alternating with blistering blues-rock. \nClick and band recorded their Captured LIVE CD at the Throckmorton\, which was such a hit that they decided to return to record Danny Click and the Americana Orchestra\, an all acoustic evening with string quartet. Tonight celebrates the release of their highly anticipated new LIVE CD. \n \n
