DESCRIPTION:We are sorry to say that this show has been cancelled due to concern of coronavirus.  The safety and care of our patrons\, performers and staff are our main priority during this challenging time.  We will continue to monitor and update you via email and the front page of our website as we navigate this crises.  \nJoin us for a screening of the award-winning musical documentary “The Man Behind the White Guitar”\, a film about the life and music of Jose Pires de Almeida Neto.  Jose Neto’s music and energy have supported major world musicians\, including Harry Belafonte and Steve Winwood\, as well as the Brazilian greats Flora Purim and Airto Moreira.  Merl Saunders Jr. will MC the evening\, the film runs from 7-8:15pm and is followed by a Q&A with Panel Guests Jose Neto and J.J. McGeehan (Composer/Musician and the film’s music mixer).  Neto will demonstrate his legacy Paradis guitar and share some inspirational music with us! \nPartial proceeds of the evening will be donated to the Lua Pires de Almeida Fund of 10\,000 Degrees for underserved college students.   \nThe Man Behind The White Guitar is a documentary film about the life and music of the Brazilian Guitarist Jose Pires de Almeida Neto\, known as José Neto.  His music and energy have supported major world musicians\, including Harry Belafonte and Steve Winwood\, as well as the Brazilian greats Flora Purim and Airto Moreira. Neto’s eventful musical journey from Brazil to the US and England taught him the value of a positive spirit and\, despite deep life challenges\,  his service to music and other artists have earned him international respect.
