DESCRIPTION:This Sunday Sessions Pro Showcase will feature guitarist\, songwriter and bandleader Joe Lococo. Joe and Kimrea will be joined by Willie Riser on bass\, Elvis Johnson on drums and Susan Copperman on saxophone. Come check out this spirited\, musically uplifting performance in the Throckmorton’s intimate Tivoli room. No cover – all ages welcome. \nSunday Sessions are sponsored by the Throckmorton Theatre. Donations are welcomed at the door and greatly appreciated.  \n***\nOriginally from Buffalo\, New York\, Joe Lococo has been a full time professional musician all his life\, and has the chops to show it. From Jazz to Country to Rock to Funk to Rhythm & Blues\, he is one of the most knowledgeable players around. \nJoe began studying classical guitar with a private teacher at the age of 13. His teacher advised him if he wanted to work as a guitar player\, to learn as many songs and styles as he could and to never stop learning. He was also advised he would get more work as a singing guitarist\, so he took up singing as well. He’s been a working musician ever since. \nA versatile and valuable player\, Joe Lococo is respected by his peers as an accomplished guitarist\, sideman and bandleader. He has played in a dizzying number of bands\, including (for over 20 years) with world renowned\, Jazz Saxophonist\, Jules Broussard.  And he knows so many songs! \nABOUT SUNDAY SESSIONS PRO SHOWCASE & KIMREA\nSunday Sessions Pro Showcase invites some of the Bay Area’s unsung working musicians to showcase their talent. These musicians form the backbone of the Bay Area music scene and are established Bay Area performers\, session players\, sidemen and undiscovered talent. Come check out these complimentary concerts and discover real talent! \nKimrea\, a prolifically active songwriter and performing musician\, taps the talent for these Sunday Sessions\, as well as the supporting musicians. She and her band continue to play regularly in the Bay Area and can be found every Monday Night (For the Last 14 years and counting) performing at the Historic No Name Bar in Sausalito\, California. \n
