DESCRIPTION:MUSA is a chamber ensemble dedicated to historically informed performances of Baroque and Classical repertoire\, as well as new music for period instruments. MUSA is comprised of six musicians: \nLINDSAY MCINTOSH\, baroque oboe\nLAURA RUBINSTEIN-SALZEDO\, baroque violin\nGRETCHEN CLAASSEN\, baroque cello\nDEREK TAM\, harpsichord \nFrom trio sonatas to orchestral works\, MUSA has presented programs on numerous concert series across the Bay Area. Their 2018-19 season includes performances at SF Music Day\, Stanford Hospital\, Third Sunday Concerts at St. Alban’s\, Fifth Street Farms\, Arts at St. Bede’s\, Santa Cruz Chamber Players\, Early Music Sundays at California Jazz Conservatory\, and Wednesday Noon Concerts at Throckmorton Theatre. MUSA is a fiscal affiliate of InterMusic SF. \nNOON CONCERT PROGRAM – APRIL 3\, 2019 \nW.F. Bach\, Trio sonata in C major (attr. dubious)\nJ.S. Bach\, Sonata for violin and keyboard in A major\, BWV 1015\nC.P.E. Bach\, Sonata for oboe and basso continuo in G minor\, H. 549/Wq 135\nJ.S. Bach\, Concerto for Violin and Oboe\, BWV 1060 R (with harpsichord and basso continuo accompaniment) \nWEDNESDAY NOON CONCERT SERIES INFORMATION \nFor the past 5 years we have offered complimentary classical concerts every Wednesday featuring renowned musicians from around the world. Thank you so much to all who joined us and performed for us over these past seasons. You have helped make this concert series a special place where community and friends can gather for the love of live music and discover something new and beautiful each and every week. \nThrockmorton Theatre is determined to offer the inspiration of live music to every community member\, regardless of financial ability. Thus we offer these concerts free of charge to the public\, however we pay all performers and incur costs to produce these events. We are incredibly grateful for any and all donations and we also welcome sponsorships of any level.  \nConcerts are approximately an hour long and most performances take place in the Tivoli room\, where both the audience and musicians can sit in close proximity\, creating an intimate concert setting.  Please take a look at our calendar of these special events and join us!\n
