DESCRIPTION:Josepha Fath\, violin\nRoxanne Michaelian\, piano\nVicky Ehrlich\, cello\nPhillip Fath\, clarinet \nPROGRAM \nJulie-O  Composed by Mark Summer  (1958-)\nVictoria Ehrlich – Cello \nSchubert Piano Trio in B flat Major opus 99 – Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809)\nJosepha Fath – Violin\nVictoria Ehrlich – Cello\nRoxanne Michaelian – Piano \nOpera Arias and Bartok Duos\nPhilip Fath – Clarinet\nJosepha Fath – Violin \nPERFORMER BIOS \nJOSEPHA FATH grew up in Mill Valley\, California and received her musical training at the San Domenico School\, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music\, San Francisco State University and the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. She has been a participant in the Tanglewood\, Blossom\, Spoleto and Mendocino Festivals. Professionally\, Josepha plays and records with California and Berkeley Symphonies\, the Western Opera Theatre\, Lamplighters\, Pocket Opera\, Oakland East Bay Symphony\, the San Francisco Opera\, and Skywalker Film Recording Orchestra. \nROXANNE MICHAELIAN comes from a family of professional musicians. Her father was first violinist in the S.F. Symphony for 50 years\, and her sister was chosen by Leonard Bernstein to perform as soloist with the N.Y. Philharmonic.  Roxanne began piano lessons at age five\, studying with Claire James at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She continued her education there\, completing an undergraduate and graduate degree in Piano Performance\, studying with Paul Hersh. Roxanne’s first appearance as soloist with orchestra was at the age of 12\, when she performed with the San Francisco Symphony on its youth concert series. She subsequently received first prize in the North American Young Artists Competition in Denver\, Colorado\, performing with the Denver Symphony. She also was overall winner in the Young Musicians National Foundation Competition\, performing at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.  Other orchestras she has soloed with are the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra\, Oakland Symphony\, and the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra. Roxanne is an active and much sought after collaborator. A past winner of national chamber music competitions\,  Roxanne has toured the United States with nationally known artists\, and has performed in concert with Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg\, Jamie Laredo\, members of the San Francisco Symphony and members of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra. She has performed on such series as Chamber Music Sundaes\, Chamber Music West\, San Jose Chamber Music Society\,  performed at Davies Symphony Hall for the San Francisco Symphony Chamber Music Series\, and has played with the New Century Chamber Orchestra. Roxanne has been teaching piano lessons for over 30 years\, both privately as well as at schools\,  and has been coach for various chamber music workshops throughout the United States. She has been an active member of the Music Teachers National Association for over 10 years.   She was a private piano instructor at the Nueva Center for Learning in Hillsborough for 13 years\, taught piano lessons at Santa Rosa Junior College\, and has been adjudicator for many competitions throughout California\, including the Junior Bach Festival\, United States Open Music Competition\,  and the Music Teachers Association. \nCellist\, VICTORIA EHRLICH\, was born in Texas and received her musical education at Southern Methodist University in Dallas\, the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome\, Italy\, and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She also attended summer programs at Interlochen\, Aspen\, and Tanglewood. Her teachers include Robert Marsh\, Bernard Greenhouse\, and Robert Gardner. Before joining the San Francisco Opera Orchestra in 1984\, she performed with Santa Fe Opera\, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival\, and served as Principal Cellist with the symphonies of Omaha\, Richmond\, VA\, and Phoenix. Ms. Ehrlich has performed with San Francisco Ballet\, San Francisco Symphony\, California and Berkeley Symphonies\, Lamplighters\, and the Russian Chamber Orchestra. She’s also an active chamber musician\, appearing regularly with the percussion group Adesso\, the Gold Coast Chamber Players\, Picasso Ensemble\, the Fath Chamber Players and the Ariel String Quartet.  Recent work includes collaboration with poets and composers under the auspices of the American Composers’ Forum. \nPHILIP FATH\, clarinet\, was born in New York City. Over the past 47 years he was the Assistant Principal Clarinet with George Szell’s Cleveland Orchestra\, Principal Clarinet with the San Francisco Symphony and Principal Clarinet with the San Francisco Opera Orchestra. Phil has been on the music faculties of the University of California at Berkeley\, Stanford University and San Francisco State University. He is a 1998 winner of the Milley Award. \nNOON CONCERT SERIES INFORMATION \nFor the past 5 years we have offered complimentary classical concerts every Wednesday featuring renowned musicians from around the world. Thank you so much to all who joined us and performed for us over these past seasons. You have helped make this concert series a special place where community and friends can gather for the love of live music and discover something new and beautiful each and every week. \nThrockmorton Theatre is determined to offer the inspiration of live music to every community member\, regardless of financial ability. Thus we offer these concerts free of charge to the public\, however we pay all performers and incur costs to produce these events. We are incredibly grateful for any and all donations and we also welcome sponsorships of any level. \nConcerts are approximately an hour long and most performances take place in the Tivoli room\, where both the audience and musicians can sit in close proximity\, creating an intimate concert setting.  Please take a look at our calendar of these special events and join us! \n
