DESCRIPTION:Improv like no other!  With a lineup like this – who knows what can happen?!!  Terry McGovern\, Gil Christner\, Toad the Mime\, Diane Amos\, Debi Durst\, Michael Bossier\, Robin Eurich\, Andy Goldberg\, Rodney Sheriff\,  John Elk\,  Chris Pray\, Jim Cranna\, John Bates\, Hennen Chambers\, Andreis Gulbis\, Denis Egan\, Marc Hershon and any other surprises the cat brings home!  This group is forged from the mold of The Committee\, The Wing\, Femprov\, The Comedy Underground\, Spaghetti Jam\, The National Theatre of The Deranged…name an improv group that has ever existed in San Francisco–any and all of these people have been a member at one time or another. Schooled in classic exercises and theater games written by the guru of improv herself\, Viola Spolin\, these performers spin magic from audience suggestions. \nWhat a live experience you are in for – and one that will never be repeated! \nWhat is The Harold?  The Harold was the brain child of Second City director Del Close. While directing SF’s Committee in the 60’s he devised a long-form Improv format\, incorporating Viola Spolin’s Theatre games and other techniques culminating in a 45 minute totally improvised show. The Committee\, a San Francisco improv group\, performed the first Harold in Concord\, California in 1967.  Michael Bossier subsequently formed Spaghetti Jam in San Francisco’s The Old Spaghetti Factory and performed Harolds while also turning Spolin games and Harold techniques into stand-alone performance pieces (short form improv). \n  \n
