DESCRIPTION:Kimrea’s Pro Showcase features San Francisco songwriter\, guitarist and singer Stephanie Teel! Stephanie will be joined by bassist Steven Valverdes\, drummer extraordinaire Robin Roth\, and the talented Kimrea on Rhythm guitar and vocals. Join us for a fun and musically satisfying evening in the wonderfully acoustic Tivoli room. No cover – all ages welcome – a one beverage purchase requested. Come listen and discover the beauty of music in an intimate accessible setting!\nPhoto by Liz Payne \nABOUT STEPHANIE TEEL \nStephanie Teel is a native San Franciscan\, still living in the City\, across from Ocean Beach. She started her music career playing all the top Hotels in San Francisco for private parties\, including political events and entertaining overseas dignitaries. Her road gigs began in Las Vegas with the Al Bellow Revue with Jenny Jones as the bands leader and drummer. The band was booked solid for two years playing in several casinos in Vegas\, Reno\, Tahoe\, and clubs in New Mexico and a tour of eastern Canada. Stephanie also has played solo performances in Great Falls\, Montana\, New Orleans\, San Francisco\, Oakland’s Art & Soul Festival and a tour in Arizona. \nStephanie retuned to San Francisco in the 1980’s\, and put together the “Stephanie Teel Band”. She played the dance club circuit five nights a week throughout the Bay Area. Top quality musicians were always part of her band. She also took a band on the road playing in Tahoe\, Reno\, Laughlin\, and Hawthorne\, Nevada\, and in Springfield\, Oregon and Hollywood\, Calif. \nWith her father\, Mark Teel\, who was a renowned S.F. sax player\, Stephanie played jazz guitar in his big band for the Oakland Raiders for two seasons. \nIn 1990\, Stephanie was the lead guitarist for the Zasu Pitts Memorial Orchestra. The band featured some of the best musicians and vocalists in the Bay Area. She also played for Linda Tillery at the 1990 Michigan Women’s Festival\, and with members of Santana\, Tower Of Power\, and the band War. \nABOUT KIMREA’S PRO SHOWCASE \nFor these Sunday Sessions we invite some of the Bay Area unsung working musicians to join us for our Pro Showcase and showcase their talent.  These musicians form the backbone of the Bay Area music scene and are established Bay Area performers\, session players\, sidemen and undiscovered talent!  Come for some fabulous music and discover real talent! \nKimrea\, a prolifically active songwriter and performing musician\, taps the talent for these Sunday Sessions\, as well as the supporting musicians. She and her band continue to play regularly in the Bay Area and can be found every Monday Night (For the Last 14 years and counting) performing at the Historic No Name Bar in Sausalito\, California. \n  \n\nThere is an incredible wealth of talent who make their home right here in the Bay Area. Our Sunday Sessions invite performers in to share their talents and our community in to enjoy and be inspired! We pay a small stipend to performers\, donations to support these events are gratefully accepted. \nThe Throckmorton is dedicated to the inclusion of all members of our diverse community; every member is entitled to be exposed to thought-provoking\, multicultural events. \n
