DESCRIPTION:In this special two-set performance\, banjo virtuoso Tim Weed is joined by legendary bassist Bobby Vega as well as talented musician/songwriter Dan Imhoff. \nTim Weed is hailed as “one of the world’s greatest banjo players”  by Banjo Newsletter Magazine. But his talents stretch far beyond any one instrument. Paul Liberatore of the Marin IJ writes\, “…both as a multi-instrumentalist and singer\, he possesses a trained tenor voice with jaw-dropping range.” Tim has performed with musical greats such as Joan Baez\, Maria Muldaur\, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott\, David Grisman\, and Peter Rowan\, to name a few. Tim’s performances are an exquisite acoustic journey through Americana\, classical\, jazz and world music. He epitomizes what great live music is all about (Jonathan Holden\, Rhythm & Roots). \nTim is pleased to share the stage with dear friend and renowned bassist Bobby Vega. Bobby is listed in the top 100 bassists of all time and has been featured on the cover of Bass Player Magazine. Bobby has played and recorded with: Sly Stone\, Booker T.\, Santana\, Tower of Power\, Etta James\, Jerry Garcia\, Mickey Hart\, Jefferson Starship\, Paul Butterfield\, Joe Satriani\, and many more. \nAlso joining Tim on stage is local songwriter Dan Imhoff who combines folk rock\, gospel\, blues and jazz with vivid lyrics and storytelling. Dan has five albums of original music and has worked with such extraordinary artists as Charlie Musselwhite and David Grisman\, to name a few. As both a solo artist and founder of the popular “Sonomacana” band\, Cahoots\, Dan Imhoff has headlined at theaters\, festivals\, and other venues around Northern California for 20 years. In 2018 Dan moved to Valencia\, Spain where he performed and recorded his soon to be released album\, “Peregrino\,” with some of Valencia’s finest jazz musicians. In addition to music\, Dan is an author and award-winning journalist. \n
