The members of the trio have concertized throughout the United States\, Canada\, Asia and Europe\, and received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts.   \nA graduate of U.C. Berkeley\,  Janet Guggenheim received a master’s degree from the Juilliard School\, where she studied with Rosina Lhevinne\,  was the recipient of the Joseph Lhevinne scholarship\, and won the Juilliard Piano Concerto competition.  For more than 30 years\, she collaborated with the celebrated violinist Itzhak Perlman\, including concerts in Hong Kong\, Taipei\, Istanbul\, and Russia.    She has also performed with Yo-Yo Ma\, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg\, Pinchas Zukerman\, Pierre Fournier\, Barry Tuckwell\, James DePreist\, and many others.  A long time resident of the Bay Area  and former music faculty member at U.C.\,  she performed frequently locally with violinist Stuart Canin and cellist Michael Grebanier before moving to Portland in 1995. She’s pleased again to be a part time resident of Mill Valley. \nCarol Sindell began her violin studies with Josef Gingold at age seven\, and in 1962 she was accepted as a student of Jascha Heifetz.  She made her professional debut with the Cleveland Orchestra at age eleven\, and in 1974 she made her New York debut in Carnegie Recital Hall.  She has been a featured artist on the Music from Marlboro series and has performed with Chamber Music Northwest and Rencontres Musicales Festival in Arc-et-Senans\, France.  Ms. Sindell has appeared as soloist with the Oregon Symphony\, and she has been a guest artist at the Park City International Festival. \nHamilton Cheifetz has been described in Fanfare Magazine as “unquestionably a magnificent player” for his solo recordings. He has performed at the White House and was the winner of the Piatigorsky Prize at Tanglewood.  He performed duos with his teacher Janos Starker which were broadcast nationally on NPR\, and he also performed with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center in New York.  He appears at Chamber Music Northwest and the Oregon Bach Festival\, and he was presented in solo recitals and master classes in China in 2010 and 2012 and Korea in 2016. \nWEDNESDAY NOON CONCERTS\nThe community is invited to our complimentary Wednesday Noon Concert series. As part of our ongoing mission to use the transformative power of the arts to inspire and enrich our community\, we have opened our doors for the past two years\, every Wednesday at Noon\, and presented concerts performed by talented musicians that are free of charge to the public. These free noon performances offer listeners the opportunity to discover the beauty of music in an intimate accessible setting\, while providing the community with cultural enrichment and exposure to talented performers. \nConcerts are in a one-hour format and performances take place in the intimate Tivoli or Crescendo where both audience and musicians can sit in vibrant\, close proximity. Musicians often stay after the performance to informally speak about the program and their upcoming concerts. \n
