Allegretto poco mosso \n  \nABOUT THE MUSICIANS\nYi-Fang Wu studied piano performance in Master degree with Mr. Paul Schenly and Dr. Daniel Shapiro\, and collaborative piano in Professional Studies with Ms. Anita Pontremoli at Cleveland Institute of Music. Wu has extensive collaborative experiences; she was the staff accompanist at the Cleveland Music Settlement\, orchestra pianist at South Bay Symphony\, and pianist at the San Jose Chinese Choir. Wu has collaborated with the musicians from Pittsburgh Symphony\, Colorado Symphony Orchestra\, and Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Wu has performed at Eastern Music Festival\, Hidden Valley Festival\, Castleman Quartet Program\, and Miami Music Festival and premiered Jeffrey L. Briggs’ “Two Poems of Hyam Plutzik” with MMF Symphony at New World Center. Wu is currently staff pianist at San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Devision. \nElbert Tsai leads a multifaceted career as virtuoso violinist\, sought-after pedagogue\, and orchestral musician. As a soloist\, one of his musical missions is to revive the art of the virtuoso violin recital\, which celebrates the short showpieces and gems of the instrument’s 450-year musical history. Since 2007\, he has performed with the San Francisco Ballet orchestra and San Francisco Symphony\, touring with the symphony domestically and to Europe and Asia. Elbert has taught violin and chamber music at Center Stage Strings\, the Luzerne Music Center\, San Francisco Conservatory of Music\, SFCM Pre-College Division\, and the Crowden School. He holds degrees from University of Southern California\, Rice University\, and Oberlin College. As part of our ongoing mission to use the transformative power of the arts to inspire and enrich our community\, we have opened our doors for the past two years\, every Wednesday at Noon\, and presented concerts performed by talented musicians that are free of charge to the public. These free noon performances offer listeners the opportunity to discover the beauty of music in an intimate accessible setting\, while providing the community with cultural enrichment and exposure to talented performers. \nConcerts are in a one-hour format and most performances take place in the intimate Tivoli where both audience and musicians can sit in vibrant\, close proximity. Musicians often stay after the performance to informally speak about the program and their upcoming concerts. \n
