APRIL 2020 Art Exhibit
Our April 2020 Art Exhibit features artists Nance Miller’s oils and Gregory Climer’s fabric/patchwork in our Main Gallery and Jimmy Labioda’s oils in our Crescendo Gallery.
The exhibits open on Tuesday April 7th, and we would normally do an artist reception in conjunction with the First Tuesday Artwalk – however with the coronavirus concerns – stay tuned for updates!

Nance Miller Artist Statement
Morning light. A fresh start. There has always been a magical quality to this special part of the day. This series explores the beauty of renewal. The sepia tones are the past, the indigos, the present, whites and creams the future. When balanced they create a vibration, a beauty that is healing to the soul. Both past and present serve to inform the future. In this series I strive to find that balancing point between them all – where presence lives.

Gregory Climer Artist Statement
Climer explores how traditional crafts can be transformed by new technologies in ways that maintain the warmth and value of the handmade. Using textiles as a tool for pixelation, the work exists differently on screen and in the real world. This creates an experience of viewing art which is ephemeral and cannot easily be shared online.
ABOUT Greg Climer is on the faculty at California College of Art and was previously faculty at Parsons School of Design. He was a 2016 Artist in Residence at the Museum of Art and Design in NYC. His work has been shown at the Museum of Art and Design, the Mint Museum of Art, Muskegon Museum of Art, Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester NY, Columbia University, Christopher Stout Gallery in Brooklyn, The Clemente Gallery in NYC, Anna Kustera Gallery in Brooklyn, Hive Gallery in Los Angeles, among others. His work has been featured in the book Zero Waste Fashion Design.

Jimmy Labioda Artist Statement
My paintings are from past and present, near and far. Painted in oil on canvas, some are from memory, a photograph or plein air. Did I choose these moments in time or did they choose me? I cannot say… I know that the time spent with these places creates in me the sense of curiosity and wonder that have shaped my paintings. My hope is to convey this to the viewer.
“If you could say it in words there would be no reason to paint.” Edward Hopper
