THE COMEDIANS

Johnny Taylor Jr.
His raw, personal, and often darkly hilarious style made him a quickly rising star within the California comedy scene. With grizzled vets arguing he got “too good, too quick” he did things his own way and found himself sharing the stage with comedians like Dave Attell and Robin Williams and was soon opening for Iliza Shlesinger and Brian Posehn. Just two years in, his first album “Tangled Up In Plaid” was released on Stand Up! Records and debuted in the iTunes Top 10 comedy releases. With his follow up album and TV Special “Bummin’ With The Devil” scheduled for 2018 release, and the pilot of his TV show “Sick Joke” in the can, he’s showing no signs of slowing down. Taylor has been a featured and headlining act for Live Nation clubs and has thrived in non-comedy venues, opening for acts like Pinback. He’s performed in venues big and small throughout the US and Canada and is a regular on the comedy festival circuit performing at San Francisco Sketchfest, Hell Yes Fest in New Orleans, The Asheville Comedy Festival, and Altercation Fest in Austin and many others.
Bob Rubin
Eccentric and random, Rubin doesn’t just take the stage, he attacks it. He’s big, he’s offbeat and is not easily forgotten. His material is thoroughly original, incredibly detailed and conjures vivid images. His determination to bring something unique to his audience is greatly appreciated by those who crave something different. A talented writer, performer and actor, The Rube (as his fans like to call him) has appeared in numerous feature films including “Dead in 5 Heartbeats,” Boondock saints 2, Off the Boulevard, Rob Schneider’s The Animal (Revolution) and lent his talented voice to the Disney cartoon, brandy and Mr. Whiskers. This San Francisco veteran has appeared on Late Friday (NBC), Roseanne (ABC) and was a key staff writer and actor on the sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Special (FOX).
Phil Griffiths
As far as mid-life crisis go, Phil Griffiths’ wife stacks his career in stand up comedy as better than a drug addiction but worse than him having a mistress. With his dry deadpan humor, Phil performs all over the Bay Area and shares his slightly off observations on fatherhood. Phil has opened for Jermaine Fowler, Brad Williams, Steve Trevino and Myq Kaplan. Most recently Phil performed in the 2017 San Francisco Sketchfest and was a top ten finalist in the 2016 San Francisco Comedy Competition. He has also performed in the San Diego, Sacramento, Chico and Santa Cruz Comedy Festivals. Phil continues to produce and host, Comedy Sharks, a successful comedy showcase in the Bay Area running for the past four years.
Derek Sheen
Derek Sheen is a cuddly mess of insecurities, a gifted storyteller, actor and writer. He’s quickly become a favorite among comedy fans all over the globe touring with Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Janeane Garofolo and Rory Scovel! His debut album “Holy Drivel” was recorded by iconic metal producer Matt Bayles (Minus the Bear, Mastodon, Isis) and his second album, “Tiny Idiot”, was produced by the Grammy nominated Dan Schlissel.
Michael Meehan
Michael Meehan found his niche in the San Francisco comedy scene in the 80’s. He performs comedy both as a solo act and with his two brothers in the comedy trio, The Meehan Brothers. He has appeared on numerous television shows including The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Last Comic Standing (NBC), The Dennis Miller Show (CBS) and Stand Up Spotlight (VH1), A&E and Comedy Central. Michael has performed alongside some of the top comedians to date including Robin Williams, Bob Goldthwait and Will Durst.
