Don McMillan
Don McMillan graduated from Stanford University with a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. (He has a BSEE from Lehigh University) He went to work for AT&T Bell Laboratories where he worked as part of the team that designed the world’s first 32-bit Microprocessor. He then moved to Silicon Valley where he worked at VLSI Technology as a computer chip designer. After winning the 16th Annual San Francisco International Stand-Up Comedy Competition in 1991, Don turned in his chips for a microphone. He went on to be $100,000 Grand Champion on “Star Search” in 1993. He’s had numerous television appearances including “The Tonight Show” on NBC, CNN’s “The Larry King Show”, MTV’s “Half Hour Comedy Hour”, and A&E’s “Evening at the Improv”. Nowadays, you can catch Don headlining top comedy clubs across the country including the “Improv”, the “Comedy and Magic Club”.
Justin Rivera
Justin Rivera is a nationally recognized, professional comedian and magician, who has appeared on many television shows and clubs nationwide and overseas. He competed on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” hosted by Nick Cannon and was named a judges’ favorite by Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, and Sharon Osbourne. Justin has appeared on “Fast Track to Fame” produced by FOX, on Comedy Central with Dave Attell and Adam Carolla produced by Adam Sandler’s production company Happy Madison, and a special appearance and acting on Discovery Communications and Playboy TV’s syndicated shows. Justin is an entertainer and magic consultant for the grammy-nominated band OneRepublic customizing and creating magic art for the popular music video “Love Runs Out” which received many awards. He is known in the comedy circuit as the “Comedian’s Magician.”
Karinda Dobbins
Motor City native Karinda Dobbins was born into a politically active family of skilled storytellers and sharp wits. Dobbins moved from Michigan to California’s Bay Area and responding to repeated dares from a girlfriend who challenged her to try making the crowd laugh at an open mic, Karinda finally took the stage at Woody’s Café. To date, she has appeared at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival; featured at Bay Area comedy clubs the Punch Line and Cobb’s; opened for Hari Kondabolu, Trevor Noah and toured with W. Kamau Bell. Karinda made her primetime national television debut on Coast-to-Coast Episode 1 on NickMom Night Out.
Mark Smalls
Mark Smalls could be one of the funniest comics around. Some people have even called him the best 27-year-old white male comic hailing from the Bay Area that still lives with his mother, that’s named Mark. In addition to the funnies he has also been a top competitor in Nickelodeon Guts and Legends of the Hidden Temple. Sliver snakes, bro. Mark’s material ranges from adult themed humor to themed adult humor and even touches on today’s society, of adult themes. He’s not one to miss.
Maureen Langan
Maureen Langan was named one of the “Ten Standout Stand-ups Worth Watching” by Backstage Magazine. She is also a TED speaker and an award-winning broadcast journalist. She can be heard every Sunday night hosting Hangin’ with Langan, a live, three-hour talk show on San Francisco’s premier radio station KGO. She is a frequent guest host on Cumulus stations across the country, including WABC in NYC.. Her wit and shoot-from-the-hip interviewing style earned her the title of Best Female Commentator for her work on Bloomberg Television and Radio. She has dished with the likes of Howard Stern, Joan Rivers, George Carlin, Sandra Bernhard, and John Cleese.MAUREEN’s skills as a comic and journalist make her a popular contributor on the talk show circuit, including HLN, CBS, FOX and MSNBC.
Greg Asdourian
Comedian, Actor, Host Greg Asdourian is a Bay Area native who’s been performing his relatable, self-deprecating comedy since the age of seventeen. He was recently voted “One of the Comics We Love” by DiabloMagazine.
Geoff Bolt
Geoff Bolt is a comedian, writer and actor. A Bay Area original, Geoff is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, and soon after debuted his stand-up comedy to rave reviews at San Francisco’s Other Cafe. He continues to perform regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight. Geoff has appeared in several plays at the SF Fringe Festival and has done hundreds of voice- overs for radio, television, and video games. He appears regularly on NPR’s West Coast Live as half of the comedy team of Karl and Carl, who offer their unconventional “Tips on Travel”.
Michael O’Brien
Michael O’Brien is an original member of the National Theatre of the Deranged, co-creator of “Tips on Travel” with Karl & Carl” and a master improviser whose credits include performances at The Moth, Porchlight SF, Marsh Theatre, Holy City Zoo and Throckmorton Theatre. Michael is also a teaching artist: Improv Open Workshop at Fort Mason Center, Voice One SF, Academy of Art University, San Francisco State University (guest instructor) and Stanford University (guest instructor).
