Bernadette Luckett is originally from the SF Bay Area, but started her standup career in New York City after working as a professional model, a cookie packer, and a lab technician at a VD clinic. She performed at comedy clubs all over the US and appeared on numerous TV shows, then segued from standup into sitcom writing, and has worked on several shows including: Living Single; Sister, Sister; The Tracy Morgan Show; Girlfriends; and Romeo!. After a 17-year hiatus, Bernadette returned to standup funnier than ever. In addition to being a contributing essayist to the anthology NO KIDDING Bernadette worked as a Co-Producer on the documentary, “Comedy Warriors: Healing Through Humor,” which received a 2014 Television Academy Honors Award – for television programming that inspires, informs, motivates, and even has the power to change lives.
Johnny Steele is a veteran comedian, some-time talk show host, writer, humorist, political satirist, acclaimed actor and all-around loud mouth commentator. He’s the former host of several radio and TV shows including The Live 105 Morning Show, THE SHOW on KRON 4/Bay TV, The War On Error Radio Hour on Green 960. Johnny is a past winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and has performed comedy across the US, Canada, and overseas for 30 years. Johnny has been teaching comedy for 15 years and is currently wrapping up his book, 50 Quick Comedy Tips. He has written for corporate CEOs, Grammy winning musicians, and Academy Award winning actors.
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Mari Magaloni moved to New York City to attend a prestigious theater school, soon finding herself exceptionally busy in the local theater/television scene, appearing in many productions including Law & Order. She left her burgeoning career to move to the Bay Area to raise the love of her life, Max. Since then, Magaloni has appeared in many local theatrical productions, films and revues. She has also performed as a stand-up, winning competitions and praise from peers and critics by regaling audiences with her unique hysterical blend of family, heritage, motherhood and a righteous sense of good and evil, right and wrong and black, brown and white. She recently cut a CD of satirical sketches with Johnny Steele and Michael Bossier as the Fake Comedy Radio Hour.
Michael Bossier is a third generation San Franciscan native, has performed Stand Up Comedy world wide from the beaded curtains of Paris’s Follies Burlesque to Catch A Rising Star in Las Vegas, from Chicago’s Second City Stage to England’s Comedy Store. Bossier’s masterful stagecraft began under the tutelage of SNL’s Del Close and the mother of Improv Viola Spolin. Bossier received the San Francisco’s Improv Festival’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his group Spaghetti Jam. He also founded and directed the world famous Comedy Store players. He performed as one half of the comedy due, Deb and Mike and is currently head writer for San Jose Stage Company’s Monday Night Live and Will Durst’s “Big Fat Year End Kiss Off Comedy Show.” This past year Michael, along with Johnny Steele and Mari Magaloni, have formed the Fake Comedy Radio Hour. FCRH’s World Wide Premiere show will be at the Throckmorton Theater on April 20 where they will be performing with their house band, The Tiger Club.
