Tuesday Night Live Comedy! is recognized as one of Bay Area’s best stand-up comedy showcases. Each week 5-8 different comedians take to the mic for a hilarious night of live stand-up. The line-ups feature renowned veteran comics from around the world as well as today’s hottest up-and-coming stars.

THE LINEUP

JC COCCOLI

JC Coccoli is an American comedienne, writer and producer. Equally mindful and explosive, her award-winning productions come from the heart and are both engaging and cry your eyes out funny. Her TV background includes writing and producing for CBS, Comedy Central, FunnyorDie, HULU, Maker Studios, Lifetime, MTV and VH1. She has been a final contestant on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and starred in the hit MTV sketch show ‘Hey Girl.’ In 2016 she was hired as the Supervising Producer of the live talk show: ‘Fashionably Late’, hosted by, Rachel Zoe. Since 2011, she has been a dedicated and passionate advocate for Women’s Rights, working alongside Gloria Steinem and EqualityNow.org as a producer and events consultant.  She has produced live red carpet events for three of Equality Now’s high-profile galas, in which she helped raise over 1 million dollars in 2018. Recently JC has worked side by side with Margaret Atwood on a collaboration for Equality Now and Handmaids Tale season 2. During this time these two worked together to create a subtle, yet effective message on justice, where it has successfully reached over 2 million views. Last fall after driving cross country in an electric car, for an Amazon Prime docu-series : ‘The New American Road Trip’, she was asked to speak at the United Nations in regards to experience, climate change, and the future of art. Embarking on all things she is passionate about, Ms. Coccoli is a risk taker and a feminist power house whose hard work and true grit does not disappoint. JC is based in LA, NYC, Pittsburgh and London.

JAMMIN’ JAY LAMONT

Jammin’ Jay Lamont is not just a comedian; he is a multi-talented entertainer. Known to many as the “The Human IPOD,” Jay has performed on major concert and comedy stages with performers like The Gap Band, The O’Jays, Anita Baker, Ledisi, and Jamie Foxx to name a few. He also opened for Mary J. Blige in 13 cities on her Libration Concert tour. Since moving to Los Angeles Jay has performed on BET’s Comicview, Comedy Central, Showtime At The Apollo, Tom Joyner Family Reunion, Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam, Byron Allens “Comic Unleashed”, Jamie Foxx presents “Laffapalooza” and Martin Lawrence’s “1st Amendment” and several other TV shows. Jay adapts to any type of audience and delivers a one-of-a-kind show night after night. He is a clean upscale entertainer that mixes a dash of comedy with a sprinkle of impressions and a hand full of music.

JULIE KIM

Julie Kim is a two time Canadian Comedy Award nominated stand-up comedian. In 2018, she released her debut comedy album, and was discovered by fans worldwide as her comedy videos amassed over 18 million views online.  Julie’s credits are among the best in the country. She has been a returning gala performer on major televised comedy festivals including the Halifax Comedy Festival and Winnipeg Comedy Festival. She has also performed at the Hubcap Comedy Festival, Edmonton Comedy Festival, Just for Laughs Northwest Festival, and the Seattle International Comedy Competition.  Julie’s mission is to spread happiness, lighten hearts, and unite through laughter.  Julie has been featured multiple times on CBC’s hit radio show The Debaters and CBC’s Laugh Out Loud. She regularly performs at corporate events and fundraisers as a host, moderator, facilitator and speaker.  Julie has performed in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Portland, Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Victoria, Montreal, Winnipeg, Halifax, Calgary, and Edmonton. She continues to travel far and wide in order to achieve her mission to spread happiness, lighten hearts, and unite through laughter.

FORREST SHAW

Forrest delivers his stand-up with an intriguingly unique perspective on life. He became a comic after a decade of life as a marine biologist. Forrest is a sharp, cynical critic of our shortcomings as a species, and points out these observations with precision in his hard-hitting, quick-witted act. He made his television debut on Conan in 2014 and appeared on Gotham Comedy LIVE on AXS TV in early 2015. He has performed in numerous festivals such as, Comedy Central’s South Beach Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, Big Sky Comedy Festival, New York Underground Comedy Festival, World Series of Comedy, & the Comedy Central Open Mic Fight and was awarded 2013’s Ultimate Miami Comedian. Forrest is featured in season 2 of the FXX show Legit and has also appeared on Animal Planet.  Forrest is a co-writer (and lead actor) of the award winning web series Labor Days. He is co-creator of the weekly What’s What Podcast. He can also be heard on Sirius/XM Satellite radio, Pandora, and Spotify. His debut album ‘Mister Grizzly’ was released on November 18, 2014 on Comedy Records.

SAL CALANNI 

Sal is a lactose intolerant Italian originally from Cleveland, Ohio, he hit the road and began doing stand up in San Francisco. He has crawled through the ranks and has appeared at clubs all over the U.S. He now lives in Hollywood.  Sal was on this past season of Gotham Comedy Live, he acted in NBC’s Trauma, and Spike Lee’s film in NBA2K16. He starred in, co-wrote, and co-produced the film, Lucifer’s Crewcut starring Maria Bamford, Arj Barker, Jello Biafra, and GWAR. He has opened for Dave Chappelle, Dave Attell, Bill Burr, John Caparulo, Iliza Shlesinger, Greg Giraldo and many more. He has been featured on the Funny or Die homepage and has performed at the Oddball Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, and the Bumbershoot Film Festival.

SAUL TRUJILLO

Saul Trujillo is a child-like man ready to light up any room with his awkward energy. Growing up in the city of Stockton wasn’t easy, but it gave him the thick skin needed for any situation on and off the stage. The winner of 2018 Sacramento Comedy Competition uses his obscure observations on his own life that will keep you scratching your head and laughing at the same time.

MICHAEL O’BRIEN  (Host)

Michael O’Brien is an original member of the National Theatre of the Deranged, co-creator of “Tips on Travel” with Karl & Carl” and a master improviser whose credits include performances at The Moth, Porchlight SF, Marsh Theatre, Holy City Zoo and Throckmorton Theatre. Michael is also a teaching artist: Improv Open Workshop at Fort Mason Center, Voice One SF, Academy of Art University, San Francisco State University (guest instructor) and Stanford University (guest instructor).

GEOFF BOLT  (Host)

Geoff Bolt is a comedian, writer and actor. A Bay Area original, Geoff is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, and soon after debuted his stand-up comedy to rave reviews at San Francisco’s Other Cafe. He continues to perform regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight. Geoff has appeared in several plays at the SF Fringe Festival and has done hundreds of voice- overs for radio, television, and video games. He appears regularly on NPR’s West Coast Live as half of the comedy team of Karl and Carl, who offer their unconventional “Tips on Travel”.
