Rocky LaPorte
Rocky LaPorte’s appeal comes from his everyman, streetwise style of comedy. Delivering laughs in his trademark Brooklyn accent, he has become one of the most sought after comedians in the country, and he just recently appeared on on the season 8 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing! Rocky received 5th place out of 10 contestants. Rocky was the featured comic on Showtime‘s The Godfathers of Comedy, a special starring five of America’s most hilarious Italian-American comics. On the big screen, he has been seen in two Tim Allen movies – Crazy on the Outside and The Shaggy Dog. Rocky traveled with Drew Carey to Iraq to entertain the troops and was seen on the Showtime special Patriot Act: A Jeffrey Ross Home Movie. He has filmed his own Comedy Central Presents special and was voted the network’s second most popular comedian in a nationwide poll. He has performed on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and appeared on A&E‘s Evening At The Improv and VH1‘s Stand-Up Spotlight, along with sitcom appearances on Cheers and his own NBC pilot called the Rocky LaPorte Show. Kira Soltanovich
San Francisco native, Kira was a series regular on How To Be A Grownup for TruTV, the hidden camera show Girls Behaving Badly and was a correspondent on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for over 8 years. Recently, Kira co-hosted the game show Winsanity with Donald Faison for the Game Show Network. One of Kira’s greatest achievements is shooting her latest 1 Hour Stand Up Special,You Did This To Me, which was completely self-produced and she shot it while over 7 months pregnant. Kira has appeared on The Jay Leno Show, Hello Ross! with Ross Mathews, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Last Call with Carson Daly, Hell’s Kitchen, Last Comic Standing, Set List TV, and The World Stands Up on Comedy Central. She has written for Joan Rivers, Scott Baio, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber.
Paul Conyers
Paul Conyers’ sharp writing and confident performing style have made him a crowd favorite in the Bay Area comedy scene and beyond. He competed in the 2018 San Francisco Comedy Competition and in the last two years has advanced to the Main Event at the World Series of Comedy. He’s a regular at Laughs Unlimited in Sacramento, Reno-Tahoe Comedy and clubs all over the country. Paul participated in SF Sketchfest 2019 and can be heard on SiriusXM’s LaughsUSA (channel 98). Paul is absurdly tall and may become confrontational if you claim to know more about Harry Potter than he does.
Patrick McDermott
Patrick McDermott has performed at comedy clubs and theaters throughout California, such as the San Francisco Punch Line, the San Jose Improv, Marin Center and the Throckmorton Theatre. He has opened for such comedy greats as Louie Anderson and Rob Schneider.
Michael Cella
Michael Cella is a standup comedian and comedy/sports writer with a uniquely storied past that informs his unconventional yet polished creative voice. His work spans from performances at comedy clubs across the nation to 140 character laugh riots from his 62k+ organic Twitter following. Mike is an Iraq war veteran turned Prius driving vegetarian that believes in the power of thought provoking and off-kilter comedy. He was a featured performer in San Francisco Sketch Fest as well as in the Sacramento Comedy Festival and Savage Hnry Comedy Festival. Mike regularly performs at clubs around Northern CA such as Cobbs Comedy Club, Punch Line (SF), Laughs Unlimited and Rooster T. Feathers. He has worked with comedic icons Tom Segura, Brian Posehn and Emo Philips, to name a few.
Larry “Bubbles” Brown (Host)
Larry “Bubbles” Brown is a San Francisco based comedian and a favorite of the Throckmorton. Larry tried stand up comedy in 1981 at the Holy City Zoo in SF and has stayed with it ever since. He has appeared on over 25 tv shows, including numerous appearances on David Letterman. He was also in the move “The Kiterunner.” Larry is a frequent opening act for Dana Carvey and Dave Attell.
