ABOUT BREAD & ROSES
For 45 years, Bread & Roses Presents (www.breadandroses.org) has uplifted people of all ages who are isolated in institutional settings. The organization achieves this mission through the daily presentation of free, live musical performances (over 600 per year throughout the Bay Area) that offer hope and healing and rekindle the human spirit.
Bread & Roses is deeply committed to serving disadvantaged children from high-risk neighborhoods, many of whom are homeless or from immigrant families or single-parent households. In fact, one-third of Bread & Roses’ performances are delivered to at-risk children and youth. To better serve these children, Bread & Roses is bringing more programs to child-centered facilities and recruiting additional performers to serve them. Many of these facilities are Head Start sites, low-income child development centers and other community partners serving at-risk children.
A portion of the proceeds from this concert will be donated to Bread & Roses to help support their programming for at-risk children.
