Mill Valley native BRITTON DAY is a member of the accompanying staff at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory Preparatory Division. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from the Oberlin Conservatory of music. Upon graduation from Oberlin, he continued his studies at the San Francisco Conservatory, receiving both a Master of Music and a Professional Studies Diploma in Piano Performance. , and the local symphonies of Marin, Modesto, Stockton, Santa Rosa, and Berkeley.
Mill Valley native, MAYUMI HIRAGA WYRICK is currently pursuing her Masters degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Vera Beths. She attended the preparatory division at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and was a member of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra during high school. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the New England Conservatory, studying with Nicholas Kitchen and Lucy Chapman. During the past summers she has attended the Aspen Music Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival and the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival. She is looking forward to spending this summer in Lake Tahoe performing at the Classical Tahoe Festival.
MARIKO HIRAGA WYRICK is currently pursuing her Masters Degree of music at the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Joel Krosnick. She is a member of the American Ballet Theater Orchestra since 2013 and performs actively in the greater New York area. As a winner of the American Fine Arts Festival competition, she performed in Weil Hall in New York City. An avid chamber musician, Mariko has participated in festivals such as Kneisel Hall, Fontainebleau Academie, and the Greenwood music festival. In her free time, Mariko enjoys cooking and yoga.
HANA COHON, 20, recently completed her sophomore year at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music, studying with Hans Jørgen Jensen. She attended the Seattle Conservatory of Music for four years, and served as the principal cellist of the Seattle Youth Symphony. Recent performances have included the Third Meditation from Bernstein’s Mass with the Seattle Symphony, and Schelomo by Bloch with both the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra with the Coeur D’Alene Symphony Orchestra as the winner of their respective concerto competitions. During the past summers, she has attended Meadowmount School of Music, Heifetz Institute, Hotchkiss Summer Portals Chamber Music Program, and the National Youth Orchestra U.S.A., and most recently the Young Artist Program at the National Arts Centre in Ottowa, led by Pinchas Zukerman.
