Tuesday Night Live Comedy features fresh talent on the rise, alongside veteran comics from around the world. Our theatre-style stage combined with an intimate comedy club atmosphere provides a truly unique and memorable experience. MEET THE COMEDIANS

Paul Morrissey

Comedian known for his many TV appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman” & “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson.” He co-hosts the popular “Come To Papa” podcast with Tom Papa on the All Things Comedy Network & Sirius/XM Radio. Paul has headlined clubs and theaters around the world including: Magner’s Comedy Festival in Singapore & Hong Kong, Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland, Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal & the Lucille Ball Festival in New York. Dr. Gonzo

Dr. Gonzo (John Means) commandeers his audience with a combination of stand-up comedy and classic rock parodies. His most successful collaboration was with famed 80s rock group, Huey Lewis and the News. When he wasn’t touring with top music acts, he headlined major comedy clubs across America. He’s appeared on numerous TV and radio shows including Showtime, Comedy Central, MTV, Bob & Tom and many more!

 


Faith Choyce

Often described as smart and quirky, the Los Angeles-born comedian has penned popular pieces for Reductress and was recently named one of the “Funniest Comedians On Twitter” by Laugh Button Magazine. Faith was invited to participate in the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition, as well as the 2015-2017 Sketchfest San Francisco Comedy Festival. She’s shared the stage with the likes of Maria Bamford and Kyle Kinane, and opened for Marga Gomez. Tim Jackson

Tim Jackson is a veteran comedian who has performed at many of today’s major comedy clubs and we’re thrilled to welcome him back to the Throckmorton stage. In addition to doing standup, Tim is founder and CEO of The Shot Doctor, where he coaches basketball players to improve their shooting skills. Tim is a vivacious comedian who’s quick wit can commandeer any stage.

 


Bob Rubin

Eccentric and random, Rubin doesn’t just take the stage, he attacks it. He’s big, he’s offbeat and is not easily forgotten. His material is thoroughly original, incredibly detailed and conjures vivid images. His determination to bring something unique to his audience is greatly appreciated by those who crave something different. A talented writer, performer and actor, The Rube (as his fans like to call him) has appeared in numerous feature films including “Dead in 5 Heartbeats,” Boondock saints 2, Off the Boulevard, Rob Schneider’s The Animal (Revolution) and lent his talented voice to the Disney cartoon, brandy and Mr. Whiskers. This San Francisco veteran has appeared on Late Friday (NBC), Roseanne (ABC) and was a key staff writer and actor on the sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Special (FOX). Geoff Bolt (host)

Geoff Bolt is a comedian, writer and actor. A Bay Area original, Geoff is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, and soon after debuted his stand-up comedy to rave reviews at San Francisco’s Other Cafe. He continues to perform regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight. Geoff has appeared in several plays at the SF Fringe Festival and has done hundreds of voice- overs for radio, television, and video games. He appears regularly on NPR’s West Coast Live as half of the comedy team of Karl and Carl, who offer their unconventional “Tips on Travel”.


Michael O’Brien (host)

Michael O’Brien is an original member of the National Theatre of the Deranged, co-creator of “’Tips on Travel’ with Karl & Carl” and a master improviser whose credits include performances at The Moth, Porchlight SF, Marsh Theatre, Holy City Zoo and Throckmorton Theatre. Michael is also a teaching artist: Improv Open Workshop at Fort Mason Center, Voice One SF, Academy of Art University, San Francisco State University (guest instructor) and Stanford University (guest instructor).
