MEET THE COMEDIANS
Dave Nihill
Leaving Dublin, Ireland, where he was born and raised until the age of 22, David got drunk on travel and never quite hit the sobriety of it. A bestselling author, David has been featured in Inc, NPR, Huffington Post, Forbes, Lifehacker and the Irish Times, and was recently part of the Irish Kings of Comedy Tour, SF Sketchfest, the Ventura Comedy Festival, Ukiah Comedy Alley, and the Kansas City Irish Festival. David has performed standup comedy at leading clubs including Cobbs, the Comedy Store, the Improv, the Punchline, and the Upright Citizens Brigade, even though he strongly denies being a comedian and is well aware most people don’t understand his accent. As a storyteller, he’s won multiple NPR’s Moth Storyslam competitions and he finished runner up in Moth Grandslam.
Rob Jenkins
Rob Jenkins uses his unique point of view, quick wit, and disarming delivery to tell you why he’s right. You’ll disagree, but you’ll laugh anyway. A Detroit native, Rob has performed at many festivals including the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and Laughfest where he was a 2016 participant in the Best of the Midwest Comedy Competition. Rob has appeared on the Fox Stand-Up Comedy Show “Laughs” and appeared in Dave Landau’s Detroit-based comedy “The King.” Rob has opened for Hannibal Buress, Kyle Kinane, Matt Broussard, Alonzo Bodden, Red Grant, and many others. In 2015, Rob released his first comedy CD “Achievement Unlocked” – it’s available on iTunes, Amazon, xBox Music, and many other places.
Samantha Rager
Sam Rager, often described as charmingly dark, has been honing her comedy across the Midwest since 2012. Not one to shy away from touchy subjects, she is able to derive hilarious commentary from her personal sob stories, and helps audiences feel comfortable enough to unpack the skeletons in their own closets. When she isn’t slinging jokes on stage she helps produce Detroit Comedy Underground.
Keith Bergman
Keith Bergman has been swilling coffee and driving around the country telling stories for six years. Before that, he spent a long time playing drums in rock and roll bands. He hasn’t bought any new clothes since then. His comedy veers from smart, sardonic observations to ridiculous personal tales of keeping it together in a world gone weird. He’s performed from LA to New York, in A-list comedy clubs and small town dive bars, and when he’s not at home being an adequate father and husband, he’s on the road seeking the next adventure and the perfect Reuben
Dash Kwiatkowski
Dash Kwiatkowski is a chubby nerd. He’s into comic books and jokes. He is currently the longest reigning Intercontinental Comedy Champion. Dash features at The Comedy Attic, Comedy on State, Dr. Grins, The Seattle Comedy Underground, and he is a regular at the SF Punch Line, The Sacramento Punch Line, and Cobbs comedy club. He’s been featured in Sketchfest, Limestone, Laugh Your Asheville Off, Crom Omaha, and The Arch City Comedy Festival, as well as SF Comedy Day and the SF International Competition. He’s the star of popular web series, Neighborhood Watchmen. He’s really into Dim Sum. He has dope sideburns, but it’s not a Wolverine thing, so be cool about it.
Pat Sievert has been doing stand up for just over a year now. He used to watch a lot of stand up after school on Comedy Central, and liked how people could come up with funny things and make people laugh. Pat likes funny things too, so it seemed like a natural fit. In January, Pat won his preliminary round of the Funniest Person in Grand Rapids and had the opportunity to share the stage with some great folks. In addition to stand up, Pat hosts a weekly podcast, Walk It Off, and has written some satire. Pat blends just the right amount of quirky, with the right amount of intelligence, with the perfect amount of hilarity. He’s likable and awkward, but he embraces that.
Larry “Bubbles” Brown
Larry “Bubbles” Brown is a San Francisco based comedian and a favorite of the Throckmorton. Larry tried stand up comedy in 1981 at the Holy City Zoo in SF and has stayed with it ever since. He has appeared on over 25 tv shows, including numerous appearances on David Letterman. He was also in the move “The Kiterunner.” Larry is a frequent opening act for Dana Carvey and Dave Attell.
