Tonight a preview of A Midsummer Night’s Dream is the first production to take place in the beautiful Little Tivoli, a space designed by artist and set designer Steve Coleman. Tina Taylor directs a talented cast of Bay Area actors, working with the ensemble to explore the nuances of Shakespeare’s intricate language and complex characters. Taylor’s aim is to make Shakespeare’s plays accessible through thoughtful and well-researched performances.
With the announcement of the Midsummer Night’s Dream production, Throckmorton expects to continue to forge and expand creative opportunities on stage. Currently Throckmorton produces a full season of high quality musical theatre productions with a cast of Bay Area youth led by a professional production staff as well as presenting runs of invigorating live theatre productions throughout the year.
