A magical night of harmonies and original Singer/Songwriter Americana!
LITTLE GEMS
Little Gems combines the magic of three-part harmony with the driving forces of indie folk rock with an all-star Marin county lineup;  Kelly Atkins (Kitka, 20-Minute Loop), Rebecca Chourré (Dolly Mamas), Liz Pisco (Dolly Mamas, Liz Pisco Band), Velvy Appleton (Spark & Whisper, Monica Pasqual), Matt Palmer, & JT John (Shana Morrison).
Individually they are eclectic, having played everything from Renaissance music to Trip Hop, Samba to Balkan folk, Country to Indie Pop. Members of Little Gems have performed for the Pope in the Sistine Chapel, sang topless at the Fillmore, appeared on television from Los Angeles to Serbia, and played with everyone from the Kronos Quartet to Chali 2na. Together they have produced or performed on over 65 albums, played thousands of shows across the US, Canada, and Europe, and sung in over 20 languages.  And together, they are a truly rare and polished collection.  Little Gems look forward to bringing their sparkling sounds to you.

THE MUSERS

The Musers come to the Throckmorton to celebrate the release of their latest CD “TURN IT ON”. This is their third recording in 3 years together as a band. The record features 10 new songs with 3 co-writes. Recorded on their home turf in Sebastopol,  the record leaves the sounds of the acoustic instruments natural, warm, and woody, and the voices treated sparingly to enhance the sister blend of Megan and Anita. The songs are thought-provoking, reminding us that we have an inner world to nurture. They could also make you laugh and dance. The band dips into many genres as we have come to expect from The Musers including, Appalachian, folk, swing. There’s even a jam band song. The whole thing grooves, and glows by light of Tom’s bass and mouth percussion.

The Musers are Sonoma County’s quirky acoustic trio. They bring their brand of free-range folk to the stage with heart, harmony, and soul. They include two award-winning songwriters, Megan McLaughlin and Anita Bear Sandwina, and are backed by Tom Kuhn on stand up bass. Audiences have said: “You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll rejoice, you’ll think, you’ll swing, you’ll rock, you’ll dance a jig. They are pure joy!. Go see them when you can!”
