The Aria Bella Trio

Gloria Mendieta Gazave – soprano, Joyce Lee – violinist and Anna Maria Mendieta – harpist
performing a variety of Classical Styles as well as some Broadway favorites

 

The Aria Bella Trio offers a  beautiful combination of voice, harp and violin with music both elegant and entertaining, from Mozart to Mancini, Gershwin to Groban, Bach to Bocelli.  Performers are award winning concertizing and touring musicians

Gloria Mendieta Gazave is a classically trained soprano from San Francisco with a background in Musical Theater. Her repertoire spans Opera, Oratorio, Art Songs, Broadway, and Popular Ballads. Experienced in singing Sacred Music, including Latin Chant, she has cantored for many events for the San Francisco Archdiocese including being selected to perform for Pope John-Paul II. Ms. Gazave is an alum of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and sings in Italian, French, German, and Spanish. She performs as a soloist with orchestras and ensembles. Ms. Gazave enjoys singing for special events and was chosen to be the featured Opera singer for the Kettle Chips Company for the promotion of their new product.
Joyce Lee attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music earning her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Violin Performance. As a member of Bella Sorella, she has concertized around the United States and shared the stage with Joan Baez. Joyce has performed in Europe with the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra and in New Orleans with the Louisiana Philharmonic. She has played for thousands of events, including the wedding of George Lucas and Melody Hobson and recording the soundtrack to the Korean TV show, “Life is Beautiful.” Joyce is the Concertmaster of the Vallejo Symphony and a member of the Marin Symphony. She maintains a full studio of violin, piano and viola students, and has trained hundreds of young musicians.
Anna Maria Mendieta, principal harpist with the Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera, enjoys a busy career as a soloist, touring artist, orchestral musician, recording artist and teacher. She has played with orchestras and chamber music groups across the country and for dignitaries and celebrities including Pope Benedict XVI, President Clinton, President Gorbachev, the King and Queen of Spain, George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola. Ms Mendieta has performed for television, motion pictures, the Emmy Awards, and NPR. She has performed with Josh Groban, Frank Sinatra Jr., Frederica von Stade, Olivia Newton John, and Barry Manilow, who calls her his favorite harpist. Her albums are available on her website. NOON CONCERT SERIES INFORMATION

For the past 6 years we have offered complimentary classical concerts every Wednesday featuring renowned musicians from around the world. Thank you so much to all who joined us and performed for us over these past seasons. You have helped make this concert series a special place where community and friends can gather for the love of live music and discover something new and beautiful each and every week.

Throckmorton Theatre is determined to offer the inspiration of live music to every community member, regardless of financial ability. Thus we offer these concerts free of charge to the public, however we pay all performers and incur costs to produce these events. We are incredibly grateful for any and all donations from those who have the means to do so and we also welcome sponsorships of any level.

Concerts are approximately an hour long and most performances take place in the Tivoli room, where both the audience and musicians can sit in close proximity, creating an intimate concert setting.  Please take a look at our calendar of these special events and join us!
