Cellist Laura Gaynon has performed on her modern and baroque cellos in concert halls across the United States, Europe, Canada, and China. Based in San Francisco, Laura plays with the American Bach Soloists, San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, Opera Parallèle, Ensemble Illume, and MUSA. She has toured nationally with Pop Up Magazine and the Magik*Magik Orchestra and performed Philip Glass’ opera In the Penal Colony with Opera Parallèle at the Days and Nights Festival in Carmel, California. Other recent festival appearances include performances at the Taos School of Music, American Bach Soloists Academy, Valley of the Moon Music Festival, Oregon Bach Festival, Toronto Summer Music Festival, and the International Piatigorsky Cello Masterclasses at USC.   Laura is a passionate advocate for new music and has helped to commission over a dozen new works of chamber music. Laura is founding coartistic director of Bard Music West, a San Francisco music festival that explores the worlds of contemporary and 20th-century composers. She has premiered music by composers including Mélanie Clapiès, Danny Clay, Daniel Temkin, Matthias McIntire, Andrew McIntosh, and many others.  To learn more about Laura, visit her website: www.lauragaynon.com 

Kelly Savage (harpsichord) has been praised by the New York Times for her “deft accompaniment.” She is artistic director of SIREN Baroque, and is a founding member of the New York opera company Opera Feroce. Ms. Savage specializes in innovative productions of baroque operas, in collaboration with groups such as Morningside Opera, Company XIV, and Vertical Players Repertory. She teaches theory and musicianship at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, directs the Stanford Community Chorus, and is the music director at Noe Valley Ministry in San Francisco. Ms. Savage holds a doctorate from Stony Brook University, where she studied with Arthur Haas. She co-created Partifi, a popular online part-making tool for musicians.

ABOUT NOON CONCERTS  Welcome to our 2019/2020 season of Wednesday Noon Concerts!  Every Wednesday, for the past 7 years we have offered complimentary classical concerts featuring renowned musicians from around the world.  The Wednesday concert series has become a special place where community and friends can gather for the love of live music and discover something new and beautiful each and every week.  We want to offer the inspiration of live music to every community member, regardless of financial ability – so we offer these concerts free of charge to the public. Concerts are approximately an hour long take place in the Tivoli room, where both the audience and musicians can sit in close proximity, creating an intimate concert setting.  Please take a look at our calendar of these special events and join us!
