READY! SET! LIGHTS! WORKSHOP SERIES Ages: 12-18 years
The Workshop for all techies! We will breakdown and piece together the hardwires and hardware of lighting design and theatre electronics. We will dissect the chain from the instruments we have become familiar with, all the way to the lightboard. This will be an introduction to programming and tech. Essential for board ops and aspiring designers.
A live lighting exploration of color, intensity, and the many angles of lighting. This workshop will create and record a series of cues for three different Musical numbers from classic productions. Participants will be split into small groups to design and build their own lighting looks onstage!
A Practical exploration of live Light cuing, technical language, and efficient communication through hands-on play! We will exercise our understanding of lighting fixtures, electronics and programming to create and save basic looks, submasters, and cues into the lightboard. (Structures workshop recommended).
