Create and build a youth jazz community here in Marin with local musician, Bay Area artist and member of the Latin Jazz band Suenos, Curtis Aikens! Jazz, as an art form, is an oral tradition with the skills and vocabulary being passed down by those with experience and wisdom, played in an informal setting where musicians come together to create and challenge one another in the moment. Jam sessions are how musicians network and discover their unique voice; learning about this culture of playing early on will have a profound impact on a musician’s future.
2-3 years experience playing your instrument highly recommended.
