The purpose of the Throckmorton Chorus is to foster and share the art of choral music, offer an educational process, and to serve our community, through the pursuit of choral excellence in repertoire and performance. Member skills vary and through participation we strive to expand skills and deepen understanding of this rich music in a collaborative environment. Members are auditioned for talent, ability, dedication, a cooperative spirit, and a love of music. Mutual cooperation and respect among the members and a desire to learn are cornerstones to the success of the Chorus. All members are encouraged to grow artistically and support each other in the development of joyful music.

TO AUDITION Membership is open to all qualified singers by audition on a space available basis. Interested new members are welcome and encouraged to contact our Theatre Administrator, Barb Nimmons, at Barb@142ThrockmortonTheatre.org or call 415-383-9611 to schedule an audition. Auditions are by appointment only.
REHEARSALS Attendance at weekly rehearsals is essential. Being present ensures that members are familiar with the notes, dynamics, phrasing, blend, and balance. The educational process is dependent upon consistency and a choir member who is completely prepared will have a more meaningful personal experience and will be more capable of enriching others through song. Please review the rehearsal and performance calendar to confirm your availability for the season.
