MEET THE COMEDIANS
Ritch Shydner
Ritch Shydner has made numerous appearances on TV, including Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with both Johnny Carson and Jay Leno. He did an HBO half-hour special, “One Night Stand.” He played Al Bundy’s co-worker on “Married with Children”, and made guest appearances on many other TV shows, such as “Designing Women” and “Roseanne.” Ritch wrote for sitcoms such as “Roseanne”, “The Jeff Foxworthy Show,” and HBO’s “The Mind of the Married Man.” Ritch wrote material for Jeff Foxworthy’s Grammy nominated comedy albums, “Totally Committed,” and “Big Fun.” He also wrote for Ron White and Jay Leno. In 2010 Ritch produced and performed in an award winning documentary on the world of stand-up comedy, “I Am Comic”.
Gary Conrad
Comedy hypnotist Gary Conrad has performed in 49 states and 9 other countries for the last 25 years…and is interested in working your venue….corporate, college, military or club! Nationally, Gary was last seen on ABC-TV’s “THE VIEW”, and has been on air with Danny Bonaduce; FOX-TV’s Mancow Muller; Opie & Anthony; Crook & Chase; Don & Mike; Dr. Dre & Ed Lover; Rick & Bubba; Big D and Bubba and many more TV and radio stations. He has also shared the stage with Tony Bennett, Cher, Barbara Walters, Lenny Kravitz, Ron White, Bill Engvall, and even the late, great, Tiny Tim!
Doug Cordell
Doug Cordell is a comedian, National Public Radio storyteller and Emmy-nominated writer. His true-life radio stories air on NPR’s Snap Judgment, APM’sMarketplace and WLRN-Miami’s The Public Storyteller. He has been featured at theaters and clubs across the U.S. and abroad, and has led workshops onstory and performance in New York , Los Angeles, San Francisco and Marrakesh, Morocco. A member of the Writers Guild of America with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Dramatic Writing from New York University, his television credits include PBS, Disney and Nickelodeon.
Connor McSpadden
Connor McSpadden started his comedy career at age 16 and since then he has established himself as one of the rising stars of the new roast comedy movement. After working his way up through the ranks of The Roast Battle at the The World Famous Comedy Store in Hollywood he made his television debut onRoast Battle II on Comedy Central in early 2017. Shortly after Connor was featured as a regular “talking head” on MTV’s High Crimes. His stand up has been showcased on Fox, Hulu andComcast. In 2016 he beat out over 100 comedians to win theVentura’s Funniest Person contest and has made additional festival appearances at Riot LA, Trial By Laughter, The World Series of Comedy, The San Francisco Comedy Competition,Broke LA and The Golden Spike Comedy Festival where he was named “Best of the Fest”. A favorite of the college market Connor has performed at schools nationwide and showcased for NACA West & Northern Plains. He stars in the street roasting web series Burn Booth which has garnered hundreds of thousands of views. Connor co hosts the weekly scripted comedy podcastMean Boys which has produced thousands of jokes and hundreds of games and sketches. As a writer he has contributed to The Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe, The Roast of Snoop Dogg and @midnight. Connor currently lives in Los Angeles and enjoys audio books about 20th Century politicians and heated games of Connect Four.
Dave Burleigh
Comedian and Impressionist Dave Burleigh tours the world over 36 weeks each year and headlines all the major casinos in Las Vegas. His uncanny ability to impersonate just about anyone landed him the starring role as Charlie Sheen in “Not Another Celebrity Movie.” Burleigh’s multiple characters, voices and impressions were also showcased on Season 7 of America’s Got Talent. As a two time finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition, Burleigh now shares the first runner up spot with past participant comedy legends like, Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, Marc Maron, Dane Cook and Kevin Pollak. Burleigh’s laid back and easy going style and persona on stage contrasted with his unique facial and body expressions are guaranteed to leave audiences amazed and impressed.
Del Van Dyke
Raised in Marin County, California, Del Van Dyke began performing comedy in 1984 after finishing college. Sharpening his skills in the booming 80’s San Francisco comedy scene, he “Worked every club that had a microphone”. In addition to working the club circuit, Del took first place in the Northern California, Inland Empire, and Alameda County Comedy Competitions. He was also a semi-finalist in the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition. Del currently resides in Sacramento, CA. His time is split between club appearances, corporate shows, charity events, and his popular comedy workshops.
Doug Ferrari
Doug Ferrari is a California comedy icon, performing over 5,000 stand up shows including national headlining appearances at major clubs. Doug won first place in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition in 1984. He has opened for everyone from Bob Hope to Robin Williams and has performed alongside big names including Rodney Dangerfield, Jerry Seinfeld, Paula Poundstone, and Patton Oswalt. Doug has numerous television and film credits including Showtime, MTV, Fox, Comedy Central, A Fine Romance ABC, and Comedy Express A+E.
Johnny Steele (host)
Johnny Steele is a veteran comedian, some-time talk show host, writer, humorist, political satirist, acclaimed actor and all-around loud mouth commentator. He’s the former host of several radio and TV shows including The Live 105 Morning Show, THE SHOW on KRON 4/Bay TV, The War On Error Radio Hour on Green 960. Johnny is a past winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and has performed comedy across the US, Canada, and overseas for 30 years. Johnny has been teaching comedy for 15 years and is currently wrapping up his book, 50 Quick Comedy Tips. He has written for corporate CEOs, Grammy winning musicians, and Academy Award winning actors.
