MEET THE COMEDIANS
Clinton Jackson
He has appeared on many stand-up comedy television shows including his own stand up special “Comedy Central Presents- Clinton Jackson” and a guest appearance on “The Late Late Craig Ferguson” on CBS. Clinton has been the opening act for such notable artists as Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Chris Rock, and Steven Wright. ‘Clinton has recorded and released two full length comedy CDs “Nuff Said” AND “Do You See the Ducks Now”, both of which are regularly featured on Sirius Comedy Radio. Following an acclaimed showing at HBO’s prestigious “Aspen Comedy Festival” Clinton was cast in a series regular role on the WB’s “Nick Freno” as affable science teacher “Mezz Crosby”. Guest appearances on family friendly networks The Disney Channel and Nickelodeon showcased Clinton’s trademark guy-next-door appeal. His most recent network television appearances include “Blunt Talk”, “Jane the Virgin”, “Young and Hungry” and “The Daily Show”.
Tony Camin
Tony has appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Real Time with Bill Maher, and lots of others that have been cancelled. He’s has performed at The Just For Laughs festival in Montreal as well as The HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, as well as the Melbourne Comedy festival in Australia. Tony has written for programs on NBC, VH1, and Comedy Central. In addition to being co-creator/ performer of “The Marijuana-Logues”, he can also be seen as a correspondent for “The Media Project”, on IFC.
Brian Seff “Rick Right”
“The Rock & Roll Comic”, Rick Right is a unique comic and musical talent who stands in a class by himself. With the uncanny ability to sing and play any song that has been a major hit over the past 50 years, even if he has never played it before, Rick has observations and sly-as-you-like sardonic witticisms to undermine every artist that deserves it. No artist who has ever charted, good or bad, is safe from Rick’s barbs. He has entertained in 37 of the 50 US states, as well as 21 countries. Rick was the second half of the Rick & Ruby musical/comedy act, which teamed up with keyboarded Joshua “Raul” Brody and gained national exposure touring as an opening act for Robin Williams. Rick has had numerous TV appearances on the national talk show circuit, as well as guest spots on “Mork & Mindy,” “The Pee Wee Herman Show,” and HBO’s Young Comedians Special.
Mikey Walz
Mikey Walz is a standup comic, writer and musician out of San Francisco, CA. The son of a Jingle writing ex-folk singer father and a late-blooming lesbian psychologist mother, he developed a strange, quizzical, and occasionally musical brand of thinking. His style oscillates between playful and theatrical, skating between silly and mildly troubled. Mikey has performed on some of the best stages the Bay Area has to offer; such as Cobb’s, Punchline, Doc’s Lab, Tommy-T’s, Cynic Cave, and many others. He frequently hits the road as well, performing across the country at venues such as The World Famous Comedy Store (L.A. and San Diego), The Blue Room Theater in Chico CA, The House of Blues in New Orleans, and the Oberon Theater and Laugh Boston in Boston MA. He’s also performed at SF Sketchfest The Chico Comedy Festival as well as the Savage Henry Comedy Festival in Humboldt CA. Currently Mikey produces Bay Area shows “TGIF’d” and “Chillarious” at Savvy Rest in Berkeley.
Doug Ferrari
Doug Ferrari is a California comedy icon, performing over 5,000 stand up shows including national headlining appearances at major clubs. Doug won first place in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition in 1984. He has opened for everyone from Bob Hope to Robin Williams and has performed alongside big names including Rodney Dangerfield, Jerry Seinfeld, Paula Poundstone, and Patton Oswalt. Doug has numerous television and film credits including Showtime, MTV, Fox, Comedy Central, A Fine Romance ABC, and Comedy Express A+E.
Geoff Bolt
Geoff Bolt is a comedian, writer and actor. A Bay Area original, Geoff is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, and soon after debuted his stand-up comedy to rave reviews at San Francisco’s Other Cafe. He continues to perform regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight. Geoff has appeared in several plays at the SF Fringe Festival and has done hundreds of voice- overs for radio, television, and video games. He appears regularly on NPR’s West Coast Live as half of the comedy team of Karl and Carl, who offer their unconventional “Tips on Travel”.
Michael O’Brien
Michael O’Brien is an original member of the National Theatre of the Deranged, co-creator of “’Tips on Travel’ with Karl & Carl” and a master improviser whose credits include performances at The Moth, Porchlight SF, Marsh Theatre, Holy City Zoo and Throckmorton Theatre. Michael is also a teaching artist: Improv Open Workshop at Fort Mason Center, Voice One SF, Academy of Art University, San Francisco State University (guest instructor) and Stanford University (guest instructor).
