Bob Zany
Known to many as “The Insult Comic”, Bob Zany has been on more than 100 national television shows. He’s is wry, sarcastic, insulting, lovable, and well … zany. His thirty-second year in showbizz wrapped with the long-awaited premier of “Close But No Cigar: Bob Zany,” Jay Kanzler’s chronicle of Zany’s three decades on the joke-telling roller coaster. The film debuted as a work-in-progress at The St. Louis Film Festival on November 18 to stellar reviews. Zany also garnered a featured spot in Jordan Brady’s Slamdance smash, “I Am Comic” currently airing on Showtime, and enjoyed a ten day tour of Israel with Komedy for Koby. Zany has racked up close to 1,000 national television stints, including an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, as well as co-starring alongside Matt Damon in The Informant and David Spade in Joe Dirt. Zany treasures his sixteen year association with “The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon” which has included stand-up spots, co-hosting duties, fund-raising and a VP seat on the Board of Directors. Zany’s humor column “And One More Thing…” is published quarterly in the prestigious scholarly review, Phi Kappa Phi Forum. A Los Angeles native, Zany lives in the San Fernando Valley with his wife, Erin and their Certified Pre-Owned adopted dogs Henry and Frankie.Daniel Kinno
Daniel Kinno, originally from Russia, delivers an unusual perspective on the realties of life from going to college to going to work to going on a date. Kinno has worked with such accomplished comedians as Jerry Seinfeld, Dane Cook, Anthony Clark and Chris Tucker. He performs regularly at many of Los Angeles’ nationally known comedy clubs including Hollywood Improv, The Laugh Factory, Ice House and Sunset Strip’s Comedy Store.
Daniel Dugar
Born in New Orleans and raised in the Oakland, San Francisco Bay Area, Dugar is one of the funniest up and coming comics in the country. He’s like a breath of fresh air! Having opened up for such acts like D.L. Hughley, Damon Wayans, Cedric the Entertainer, “The Kings of Comedy” Tour and many musical acts from Patti LaBelle to Earth, Wind and Fire. Dugar plays comedy clubs and colleges across the country as well as appearing on HBO, BET Comic View, Showtime at the Apollo and the Montreal Comedy Festival. Dugar delivers hard-hitting comedy that is right on the money. He is a fixture of the hip hop comedy scene and regularly works all over the country. His humorous observation on his personal life and current events along with his quick wit makes Dugar a talent that you are sure to hear about and love.
Shane Rogers
Shane Rogers grew up in a traveling circus (seriously). His relaxed, conversational style comes naturally to a performer who has been working the stage since age nine. From epic battles with his hateful cat to the perils of truck stop diners, no topic is too mundane or bizarre to escape commentary in an act that has been described as “smart funny” by people who are versed in both.
Larry “Bubbles” Brown
Larry “Bubbles” Brown is a San Francisco based comedian and a favorite of the Throckmorton. Larry tried stand up comedy in 1981 at the Holy City Zoo in SF and has stayed with it ever since. He has appeared on over 25 tv shows, including numerous appearances on David Letterman. He was also in the move “The Kiterunner.” Larry is a frequent opening act for Dana Carvey and Dave Attell.
