Paul Morrissey
Comedian known for his many TV appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman” & “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson.” He co-hosts the popular “Come To Papa” podcast with Tom Papa on the All Things Comedy Network & Sirius/XM Radio. Paul has headlined clubs and theaters around the world including: Magner’s Comedy Festival in Singapore & Hong Kong, Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland, Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal & the Lucille Ball Festival in New York. Morrissey is former ABC TV Sports Anchor, and also appeared in the Nike “Riquickulous” commercials with NBA star Chris Paul.
Mateen Stewart
Mateen Stewart is one to watch in the Los Angeles comedy circuit! He has appeared in several screen roles working with the likes of Ben Stiller, Ken Marino and Ron Hubel. He has played the token Black Guy in a National McDonald’s commercial and has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Last Week Tonight. Mateen is a founding member of the Wellspoken Comedy Tour and has participated in SF Sketchfest, SLC Comedy Carivale, Women in Comedy Festival and the San Diego Comedy Festival.
Brendan Gay
Born and raised in the Midwest, Brendan Gay is a Chicago based/touring comedian who smiles confidently when he gets nervous. Whether it’s his keen perspective on minority culture or growing up as a millennial bro, he’ll make you laugh. In 2017, Brendan won the Comedy for Cash Competition in Sacramento and went on a “52 x 52” comedy tour where he traveled to 52 cities in 52 weeks performing at the most respected clubs and venues across the country. He’s a Tedx speaker, producer & host of the Brendan Being Brendan Podcast and part of The Second City writing program in Chicago. Brendan has opened for comedians such as Mark Normand (Comedy Central, Amy Schumer Presents), Joe Machi (Last Comic Standing, Conan, Jimmy Fallon), Alonzo Bodden (Last Comic Standing, Conan, NPR) and Mike Kosta (Daily Show with Trevor Noah) to name a few.
Tracy Barkley
A mix of home-style story telling about life in the deep south all the way through to laying down roots in a city. Tracy’s comical style appeals to everyone as she discusses life, relationships, weight loss/gain, crazy family, and pop culture through the lens of a country girl set loose in the big city. Tracy has had the honor of being on stage at famous clubs such as Zanies, Comedy Catch, and Stardome to rave reviews. Part of all the proceeds Tracy makes goes to help animal rescues and BeArded WARRIORs, a U.S. Veterans Support Group.
Imran G
Imran G hits the stage with intensity and clever quips that keep his audience enthralled and roaring with laughter. The Seattle native has performed from coast to coast and honed an act to entertain audiences of all sizes, shapes, and tastes. Imran is now based in the SF Bay Area and has performed around the country at comedy clubs, theaters and festivals, as well as the NBC Standup for Diversity Showcase. Imran is a finalist in the Rooster T Feathers Competition, and the winner of the Walk the Plank Comedy Competition (2011) and The Moth San Francisco StorySLAM (2014). He has worked with acts like Sea Patton, Kyle Kinane, Fortune Feimster, Sugar Sammy, Joe DeRosa and the great Robin Williams, to name a few. Imran regularly performs at Cobbs, The Punch Line (San Francisco/ Sacramento), San Jose Improv, The Purple Onion, Tommy T’s and Comedy Off Broadway Oakland.
Steph Sanders
Steph is a writer, actor and stand-up comedian from BET ComicView and MTV.
Kirk McHenry
Kirk was born and raised in Oakland, CA and blends all of his experiences together into a story-telling brand of comedy that has been likened to Bill Cosby with a Richard Pryor twist.From entertaining troops overseas to being featured on BET’s ComicView, BET’s One Mic Stand, and Jamie Foxx Laffapalooza, Kirk is well on his way to becoming a household name. Kirk has opened for comedic stars such as Paul Mooney, Bobby Slayton, Gary Owen, Charlie Murphy, Tommy Davidson and Eddie Griffin. We’re thrilled to welcome Kirk back to the Throckmorton with more of his dynamic side-splitting comedy.
