THE COMEDIANS

Allan Havey

Allan Havey is considered one of the best stand-ups working today and he is an accomplished actor, recently starring in eleven episodes of AMC’S highly acclaimed Mad Men as character Lou Avery. Allan recently guest-starred in Man in the High Castle on Amazon, and is featured in the 2016 Coen Brothers film, Hail Caesar! Allan’s other TV credits include 10 appearances on Late Night With David Letterman, as well as Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Up All Night, The Sarah Silverman Program, Men of a Certain Age and The Office. He also guest-starred on the Emmy Award winning show “Louie.” Allan’s standup has been represented at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, the Kilkenny Comedy Festival in Ireland, the Aspen Comedy Festival, Comic Relief IV and V, and the New York Comedy Festival. He has toured Australia and Europe, and currently headlines in clubs and colleges across the U.S.

Ronn Vigh

Early in his career, Ronn Vigh’s brash attitude and acerbic wit earned him a comparison to a young Joan Rivers by the SF Weekly. It was certainly a fitting comparison as Ronn later became a writer for Rivers on her hit E! Television show “Fashion Police.” Ronn regularly performs at comedy clubs, colleges and festivals across the nation. He also co-hosts the sports-comedy podcast, “Switching Teams: A Gay Dude & A Straight Dude Talk About Sports.” His biggest accomplishment: Working briefly as a flight attendant and not attempting to smother any of his passengers with a pillow. Yes, there were complimentary pillows on the plane when Ronn did that job. Please don’t do the math.

Alex Elkin

2016 CHAMPION of the prestigious International San Francisco Comedy Competition. Alex Elkin started his comedy career in 1994 after winning a high school talent show. Short stints in the comedy clubs of Southern California to test his worth before he was old enough to be allowed in the front door lead to a desire to perform regularly. At age 18 he took on the wilds of the Jungle Cruise as a skipper for the Disneyland Resort cracking jokes on and off the boat. Years and 10,000 hours later Alex was selected as a finalist in the Laugh Factory’s International Donald Trump Impersonator contest, a past winner of the International San Francisco Comedy Competition and is reigning champion of the Hard Rock Casino’s Annual Comedy Cage Match. Headlining clubs alongside national acts such as Joe Rogan, Judd Apatow and Bill Burr, Elkin is creating a buzz in the comedy world. Alex has been seen on Inside Edition, CNN, E!’s The Simple Life Season 5, TNT’s LEVERAGE, NBC’s GRIMM as well as heard regularly on XM Sirius’ Raw Dog comedy channel.

Steve Ausburne

Steve Ausburne has embraced the stage as a place to present a spoken word memoir of all the embarrassing life moments that lurk in a place that only stand up or therapy sessions can reveal.  Steve has opened for Heather McDonald, Michael Kosta, Don Friesen, Will Durst and Scott Capurro to name a few. He performed and hosted the SF Sketchfest in 2015 and 2016, and was the finalist in the 2014 Killer Laughs Competition. Steve peddles his comedic wares throughout Sonoma County and the San Francisco Bay Area, producing comedy shows throughout California’s Wine Country.

Justin Lockwood

Justin’s revealing stories and clever insights have made him a favorite of audiences around the Bay Area and beyond. His act spans from growing up on a marijuana farm to raising his own son to dating as a single parent. He’s performed at the Ventura Comedy Festival, is a San Francisco Funny Fest champion, and has been featured at Comedy Day in Golden Gate Park. You can see him regularly at clubs and venues including The Throckmorton Theatre, The Set Up, Comedy Oakland, The Punchline, The Improve, Rooster T. Feathers, Rock Wall Winery and others. In addition to standup he has written multiple plays and  starred in dozens of theatrical productions.

Kirk McHenry (Host)

Kirk was born and raised in Oakland, CA and blends all of his experiences together into a story-telling brand of comedy that has been likened to Bill Cosby with a Richard Pryor twist. From entertaining troops overseas to being featured on BET’s ComicView, BET’s One Mic Stand, and Jamie Foxx Laffapalooza, Kirk is well on his way to becoming a household name. Kirk has opened for comedic stars such as Paul Mooney, Bobby Slayton, Gary Owen, Charlie Murphy, Tommy Davidson and Eddie Griffin. We’re thrilled to welcome Kirk back to the Throckmorton with more of his dynamic side-splitting comedy.
