The Comedians
CHRIS MARTIN
You might have seen him do stand up comedy on tour in the US, UK, Australia or New Zealand or on television. Chris Martin is an English headlining comedian and writer. He performs to sold-out audiences worldwide. Martin’s 2017 Edinburgh festival show “The One and Only Chris Martin” just got nominated for “Best Comedy Show” at the Amused Moose Comedy Awards. He was recently on Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled. Martin has also done some acting in ITV’s Horrible Science and has two really fun podcasts, one with Carl Donnelly and another with a weird Australian Uncle Trevor. You can listen to both podcasts anywhere int he world (probably excluding N Korea).
AUGGIE SMITH
When Auggie takes the stage, audiences across the country quickly realize that they’re in for an evening of riveting, take-no-prisoners stand-up comedy. During Auggie’s set, pop culture and political targets are dissected piece by piece into intelligently written manic rants. His seamless rapid fire style has developed a loyal following across the country. He has spent most of the last two decades keeping a constant road schedule honing his craft and creating a truly memorable, relevant, and constantly evolving live experience.
KRIS TINKLE
Comedian Kris Tinkle has been making his mark on the New York City standup scene since he moved here from his native San Francisco. He was the co-host and resident comedian on Comedy By Request on SiriusXM Raw Dog. He has appeared on DirecTV’s “The Artie Lange Show”, is a regular on Sirius XM Radio’s “Friday’s with Breuer” and “Tap Out Radio,” and has been featured in the New York Comedy Festival, The Download Music Festival, and SF Sketch Fest. Kris’ debut comedy CD “Almost Awesome” was released by Rooftop Comedy. The album charted top-10 on iTunes as well as Pandora internet radio and is in regular rotation on Sirius XM. He also performed in and wrote for numerous web series on Crackle.com and SuperDeluxe.com, and his live sports/comedy talk show “Steel Cage Comedy” was covered by Yahoo! and Espn.com and appears in the sports documentary “Such Great Heights” currently streaming on Netflix. Tinkle performs standup in clubs and theaters across the country, and is a veteran of multiple USO tours in Japan, Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq. His unique energy and honest, engaging style of underdog comedy continue to win over audiences nationwide.
CARMEN MORALES
Carmen Morales has a captivating style which incorporates opinionated quick wit and outlandish characters. Taking from family, friends and people from everyday encounters she transforms into these characters seamlessly, then adds hilarious commentary which leaves the audience doubled over in laughter. With a perfect combination of like-ability and vulnerability she has been well received by audiences internationally. She’s been seen on two seasons of the tv show “Laughs” on Fox and heard on Sirius XM radio in the U.S. and Canada. She’s also been featured in Gilda’s LaughFest Comedy Festival, the World Series of Comedy, Scruffy City Comedy Festival, Women of Comedy Festival, in the New York Times and has produced her own traveling comedy show, The ‘Not Your Average Broads of Comedy’ as well as performed in comedy clubs, colleges, strip malls, indie shows, dive bars, towns no one has ever heard of and military bases across the country.
NGAIO BEALUM
Stand up comedian, writer, musician, actor, Ngaio Bealum co-hosted “Cannabis Planet”, published “West Coast Cannabis Magazine”, and performs live all over the USA. Born in San Francisco to hippie parents, he never tires of telling how he got his name. A frequent guest on “Getting Doug with High” hosted by fellow comic Dug Benson, Ngaio has many TV and film credits including these few, Laughs (2014), Sarah Silverman Program (2007-2008), Hey Monster Hand off my City (2014) many more. Check out his CD “Weed and Sex”.His great storytelling ability, combined with hit razor sharp wit and engaging stage presence never fail to leave any audience howling with laughter.
ROBERT BERRY
Robert Berry has produced more than 30 comedy shows at Sacramento Comedy Spot, including The RetroCRUSH Variety Show, The Top 10 Podcast, and album recordings for Alfonso Portela, Stephen Ferris, and his own debut comedy album. Robert regularly hosts at the Comedy Spot, Punch Line, Laughs Unlimited, casinos, bar shows, and fundraising events. He’s opened for acts as diverse as political comedy legend Will Durst, to Sacramento punk icons, The Secretions. Robert has been part of the Sacramento entertainment scene for nearly 15 years. His offbeat style that goes from bizarre pop culture stories, to corny one liners, to screaming rants, always gets a crowd going.
GEOFF BOLT (Host)
Geoff Bolt is a comedian, writer and actor. A Bay Area original, Geoff is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, and soon after debuted his stand-up comedy to rave reviews at San Francisco’s Other Cafe. He continues to perform regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight. Geoff has appeared in several plays at the SF Fringe Festival and has done hundreds of voice- overs for radio, television, and video games. He appears regularly on NPR’s West Coast Live as half of the comedy team of Karl and Carl, who offer their unconventional “Tips on Travel”.
MICHAEL O’BRIEN (Host)
Michael O’Brien is an original member of the National Theatre of the Deranged, co-creator of “Tips on Travel” with Karl & Carl” and a master improviser whose credits include performances at The Moth, Porchlight SF, Marsh Theatre, Holy City Zoo and Throckmorton Theatre. Michael is also a teaching artist: Improv Open Workshop at Fort Mason Center, Voice One SF, Academy of Art University, San Francisco State University (guest instructor) and Stanford University (guest instructor).
