Tuesday Night Live Comedy! is recognized as one of Bay Area’s best stand-up comedy showcases. Each week 5-8 different comics take to the mic for a hilarious evening of live stand up. The line-ups always feature a mix of fresh talent on the rise and veteran comedians from around the world. Come check it out!
THE LINEUP
BILLY WAYNE DAVIS
Billy Wayne Davis is a writer, actor, and stand-up who has performed in 41 states, 4 countries and Texas. He has appeared on Conan, Last Comic Standing, WTF with Marc Maron, lends his voice to Adult Swim’s SquidBillies, hosted a documentary for CMT, opened for Sturgill Simpson’s 30 city Living the Dream Tour, and released his second comedy album, “Billy Wayne Davis: Live at Third Man Records.”
ALEX ELKIN
Alex Elkin started his comedy career in the clubs of Hollywood California before he was old enough to be allowed in the front door. At age 18 he took on the wilds of the Jungle Cruise as a skipper for the Disneyland Resort cracking jokes on and off the boat. He was selected as a finalist in the Laugh Factory’s International Donald Trump Impersonator contest. Headlining clubs alongside national acts such as Joe Rogan, Judd Apatow and Bill Burr, Elkin is creating a buzz in the comedy world. Alex Elkin is the current reigning champion of the San Francisco Comedy Competition and has been seen on Inside Edition, CNN, E!’s The Simple Life Season 5, TNT’s LEVERAGE, NBC’s GRIMM as well as heard regularly on XM Sirius’ Raw Dog comedy channel.
NICK STARGU
Nick Stargu is a musician, comedian, writer and filmmaker who is best known for his multimedia / musical comedy act, DJ REAL, which has been featured at Comedy Central’s Colossal Clusterfest, Big Sky Comedy Fest, Outside Lands, San Francisco Sketchfest, Bridgetown Comedy Festival and more! He most recently appeared on the TV show “Flophouse” on Viceland and as a host on NBC’s show “The Guest List” on Seeso. And he’s opened for Devo and Bridget Everett! Nick also performs as Imaginary Radio with comedy partner, Drennon Davis. They have performed at festivals all over the country, including SXSW, the Funny or Die Oddball Festival and have recently appeared in NBC’s “Comedy Show Show” on Seeso, as well as the audio version of the show, hosted by Will Arnett.
STEVE FUREY
Steve Furey is a native Northern Californian who began his career in Sacramento, and quickly became a household name in the Sacramento and Bay-area comedy scene. Furey is now an L.A. based comedian, writer, and host performing at clubs and casinos all over the country, and has performed with comics such as Nemr, Kyle Kinane, Natasha Leggero, Robin Williams, Bobby Lee, Anthony Jeselnik, Ron White, Eddie Pepitone, and Pablo Francisco. He was runner up in the Sacramento Comedy Competition in both 2014 and 2015, which featured more than 75 comics from all over the country. Steve runs the monthly show Little Princes at The World Famous Comedy Store, and the weekly Bear City in Long Beach, CA. With an ever-growing fan base, Steve is quickly gaining momentum as one of America’s brightest and funniest up-and-coming comedians.
JOSEF ANOLIN
Josef Anolin is a premier, up-and-coming performer boasting verve and nerve where “Def” meets deft. Josef reflects an eclectic appeal; a product of his melting pot, Bay Area upbringing and Filipino/Japanese American heritage. Onstage he’s known for on-point punditry, stylish substance and a palpable, affable freshness. His humor has been described as, “incredulously profound while simultaneously embodying a playful deviousness. Challenging one stereotype or social norm one moment, to championing another with a faux willful ignorance the next.”
GEOFF BOLT (Host)
Geoff Bolt is a comedian, writer and actor. A Bay Area original, Geoff is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, and soon after debuted his stand-up comedy to rave reviews at San Francisco’s Other Cafe. He continues to perform regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight. Geoff has appeared in several plays at the SF Fringe Festival and has done hundreds of voice- overs for radio, television, and video games. He appears regularly on NPR’s West Coast Live as half of the comedy team of Karl and Carl, who offer their unconventional “Tips on Travel”.
MICHAEL O’BRIEN (Host)
Michael O’Brien is an original member of the National Theatre of the Deranged, co-creator of “Tips on Travel” with Karl & Carl” and a master improviser whose credits include performances at The Moth, Porchlight SF, Marsh Theatre, Holy City Zoo and Throckmorton Theatre. Michael is also a teaching artist: Improv Open Workshop at Fort Mason Center, Voice One SF, Academy of Art University, San Francisco State University (guest instructor) and Stanford University (guest instructor).
