TONIGHT’S COMEDIANS

KAREN RONTOWSKI

Karen Rontowski’s fast-paced, quirky and charmingly optimistic comedy has been featured in clubs, TV, radio, and at corporate events all around the world. Her stand-up showcases endearing, self-effacing and intelligent characters that catch you by surprise every time. Karen uniquely blends comedy with her experience as a Paranormal Investigator, Tarot and reikimaster. Karen has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, Sirius Satellite Radio, Comics Unleashed, Comedy.com, Live at Gotham, Comedy Central and Mysteries of the Unexplained.  You can see her new special called “Ridiculous Me” on VidAngel.com. Karen is a comedy writer for “Haunted Magazine” and is a regular on the Bob and Tom Radio Show.

STEVE BRUNER

Steve Bruner looks like a perfectly normal guy—until he opens his mouth. He’s delivered his laser-sharp humor on Comedy Club Network (Showtime), An Evening at the Improv (A&E), Into the Night (ABC), and The Byron Allen Show (NBC), to name a few. Steve is also one of the funniest guys on the high seas. For more than a decade, he’s been entertaining passengers from around the world on all the major cruise lines including Norwegian, Princess, Celebrity, and Royal Caribbean. He’s played clubs across the country, including The Comedy Store, The Improv, The Comedy & Magic Club, The Laugh Factory, The Punchline, Catch a Rising Star, and The Ice House. Steve has written material for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Byron Allen Show, The Sunday Comics, and Comic Strip Live. He also served as a writer/segment producer for Haywire, a sketch comedy show on Fox.

BOBBY TESSEL

Bobby Tessel is one of only few comics to appear on both, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and, The Late Show with David Letterman. What does that mean? Not much really, but he’s done it, have you? Tessels first time on stage was to a packed house at the Funnybone Comedy Club in Cincinnati; he absolutely destroyed the room. And every since that night, he hasn’t looked back.

ROBERT OMOTO

Robert “Bobby” Omoto has a flair for bringing the seemingly random tangents that make up his inner thought into a well oiled, if not a tad off kilter, comedy machine. From Laughs Unlimited and Tommy T’s Comedy Clubs, 2019 World Series of Comedy, 2018 San Luis Obispo Comedy Festival, 43rd Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition,  and host/producer of the popular podcast “Random Thoughts.”  He has performed for the U.S. Navy on San Nicholas Island and has opened for Sarah Tiana, Will Durst, Joey Medina, and Mike Epps.  Robert is a rising comedian out of Sacramento not to be missed.

LARRY “BUBBLES” BROWN  (Host)

Larry “Bubbles” is a San Francisco based comedian and a favorite of the Throckmorton. Larry tried stand up comedy in 1981 at the Holy City Zoo in SF and has stayed with it ever since. He has appeared on over 25 tv shows, including numerous appearances on David Letterman. He was also in the movie “The Kiterunner.” Larry is a frequent opening act for Dana Carvey and Dave Attell.

MIKE MENENDEZ

Mike Menendez is a Los Angeles based comedian from Miami. He performs regularly in Los Angeles at the clubs and independent shows. He won the 2017 Hoboken Comedy Festival. He is also a regular on Tyler the Creator’s Golf Media.

MATT DEVLIN

Matt Devlin is an LA-based stand-up comedian of the old school variety. His dry wit and dark humor are amazingly captivating. Matt is the Co-founder of Venice Underground Comedy, a top comedy showcase in SoCal – it was acknowledged in LA Weekly’s Best of LA 2012 and The Argonaut’s Best of Westside 2013. In addition to performing himself, Matt has been co-producing this weekly comedy showcase for the past seven years. Matt was also the creator/producer/resident talent of the Boston Comedy Explosion and he was a regular guest on Jim Jefferies and Eddie Ifft’s podcast.
