Tuesday Night Live Comedy (TNLC) is recognized as one of Bay Area’s best stand-up comedy showcases. Each week 5-8 different comedians take to the mic for a hilarious night of live stand-up. TNLC line-ups feature renowned veteran comics from around the world as well as today’s hottest up-and-coming performers.

THE COMEDIANS

Jim Short

Jim Short was born in Australia, moved to Texas where he began his stand-up career and worked for years in San Francisco and now lives in Los Angeles. Jim’s television credits include Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” “The Late Show with David Letterman” “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and NBC’s “Late Friday”. Jim Short has appeared at the Montreal International Comedy Festival in 1998 and 2003 and the 2004 Las Vegas Comedy Festival. Jim is the winner of the 2004 San Francisco International Comedy Competition.

Babs Gray

Barbara’s intense yet goofy stage presence combined with vulnerable and dark material has made her a staple of the Los Angeles alternative comedy scene. She recently co-starred on the first season of “Corporate” on Comedy Central, and can be seen on Hulu’s “Coming to the Stage”, Nick Swardson’s digital series “Typical Rick” and MTV’s “Acting Out”. Babs has been a contributing writer for the past three seasons of the hit show “Billy on the Street”, in addition to the upcoming Justin Willman show on Netflix and “Rachel Dratch’s Late Night Snack” on TruTV. Her comedy has been featured on Huffington Post and Ellen. She regularly performs at the top comedy venues in Los Angeles, including the Improv, Comedy Store, Meltdown and Good Heroin. Babs also co-hosts the hit podcast “Lady to Lady”, which recently surpassed 3 million downloads from listeners all over the world. The live talk show can be seen at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater and the Hollywood Improv.

Jono Zalay

Jono Zalay began his standup career in Boston, while simultaneously earning his Doctorate in Neuroscience. Since dropping his science hobby to pursue comedy full time, Jono has been named one of Comedy Central’s ‘Comics to Watch,’ and earned international press for his pranks on the DMV. Jono now lives in Los Angeles where he has written comedy for Fox, Amazon, and Comedy Central. He has been featured in over 30 comedy festivals around the country including Bridgetown, Big Sky, Limestone, and New York Comedy Festival.

Paco Romane

Paco Romane’s authentic, engaging, and unpredictable style has established him as an audience favorite. He is a comedian, writer, improviser, producer and actor currently residing in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Paco has appeared on Comedy Central and many national commercials and films. He has made countless festival appearances including: San Francisco Sketchfest (2004-Present), Outside Lands Festival, Gulf Coast Comedy Festival, Comedy Day and LaughFest. He was twice voted “Best Comedian” in San Francisco by The SF Weekly and SF Bay Guardian. Paco has written for The Gilbert Gottfried Roast and his comedy has been profiled on NBC Bay Area, NPR “Forum”, SF Examiner, SF Chronicle, SF Weekly, SF Bay Guardian, Time Out SF, 7×7, San Francisco Magazine, Spinning Platters and many others! He has worked with many of the top names in comedy including: Robin Williams, Norm MacDonald, Todd Glass, Dana Gould, Scott Adsit, Hannibal Buress, Eric Andre, Margaret Cho, Arden Myrin, Bob Rubin, Bobcat Goldthwait, Kevin Pollack, and Kevin Meaney to name a few.

Charlene Prunier

Charlene Prunier is a seasoned standup comedy pro based out of Los Angeles. She has appeared in the last three seasons of CBS’s “Rules of Engagement” and is a season regular on ABC Family’s “Baby Daddy.” Charlene’s eclectic experiences – she’s worked at the Cartoon Network, with professional wrestlers, won American Funniest Video, had a morning radio show that was nominated for a CMA award, and was a flight attendant – lend to her uniquely hilarious and relatable brand of comedy. Charlene has won the CLEAN Comedy Challenge and appeared in Disney’s “Jesse,” ABC’s “Mike and Molly” and Nickelodeon’s “See Dad Run!” She also recently opened for Hal Sparks in Las Vegas and was invited to the 4th Annual Women in Comedy Festival in Cambridge Mass.

Ron Josol

Ron Josol performs regularly in Canada, the United States, the Pacific Islands, the Persian Gulf, Asia, Central America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. In his second year as a comedian, Josol won the Craven A’s Funniest Home Grown Competition for the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in 2000. Since then, he has been performing in festivals such as the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, International Comedy Fest 2k8, the Orange County Comedy Festival, and the LOL Comedy Festival in Hollywood, California. Indubitably the most recognizable Asian comedian in Canada, Josol was profiled on the Comedy Network, ABS–CBN in Asia, Showtime Dubai, CBC, Discovery Channel, Echo TV, OMNI 1&2, MTV Canada, and recently, the Biography Channel Canada.

Michael O’Brien

Michael O’Brien is an original member of the National Theatre of the Deranged, co-creator of “Tips on Travel” with Karl & Carl” and a master improviser whose credits include performances at The Moth, Porchlight SF, Marsh Theatre, Holy City Zoo and Throckmorton Theatre. Michael is also a teaching artist: Improv Open Workshop at Fort Mason Center, Voice One SF, Academy of Art University, San Francisco State University (guest instructor) and Stanford University (guest instructor).

Geoff Bolt

Geoff Bolt is a comedian, writer and actor. A Bay Area original, Geoff is renowned as an inspired improviser in the world of sketch comedy. Geoff got his start in the comedy world as a founding member of the critically acclaimed National Theatre of the Deranged, and soon after debuted his stand-up comedy to rave reviews at San Francisco’s Other Cafe. He continues to perform regularly to dedicated fans at a wide variety of comedy clubs. He has appeared in many feature films was featured in HBO’s Young Comedian’s Special, Showtime’s Comedy Channel, A&E’s Evening at the Improv, and KQED’s Comedy Tonight. Geoff has appeared in several plays at the SF Fringe Festival and has done hundreds of voice- overs for radio, television, and video games. He appears regularly on NPR’s West Coast Live as half of the comedy team of Karl and Carl, who offer their unconventional “Tips on Travel”.
