The Line Up

Erin O’Connor

Comedian/Writer/Actress Erin O’Connor told her first joke for money in San Francisco 28 years ago and became addicted. She abandoned her career as an Advertising Copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather and hit the road. Her travels as a road comic took her to 41 states and eight countries: Japan, Korea, Germany, England, Denmark, Scotland and Canada. As an actress, some of Erin’s favorite jobs included a recurring role on “In Living Color,” a pilot co-starring her comedy idols Fred Willard and Martin Mull, as well as a quick but memorable flash as the “Crazy Cat Lady” in Green Day’s award-winning music video, Time of Your Life. Erin and her husband, comedian Bob Zany, host The Bob Zany Show with Erin O’Connor podcast. On their podcast, Erin and Bob sit down for 30 minutes of serious with comedians including Last Comic Standing winner Alonzo Bodden. After taking a hiatus from stand-up, Erin is tip-toeing back onto the comedy circuit and we couldn’t be happier! She is also working on a metaphysical fairytale for kids and a line of vegan dog treats.

Myles Weber

Myles Weber took first place in the 40th Annual San Francisco International Comedy Competition, joining comedians such as Robin Williams, Dana Varvey, Ellen DeGeneres, Louis CK, Dane Cook, and Marc Maron. Weber was the second youngest to win the competition and one of only two comics to ever sweep the whole thing.   Weber has appeared on MTV’s “Greatest Party Story Ever” and Portico TV as the host. He also wrote for Portico and Smosh Pit Weekly (on Smosh’s YouTube Channel). Weber’s high-energy crowd work has kept audiences in stitches all across the U.S. and Canada. Blending together high-octane improv, crowd interaction and story telling, seeing Myles Weber means you will never see the same show twice.

Johnny Taylor Jr.

Sacramento’s Johnny Taylor uses sharp wit, and off-beat sensibilities to communicate his sometimes tragic life experiences in a hilarious way. A dynamic performer, Johnny has established a reputation for displaying a wide range of comedic styles. He has opened for some of the biggest names in stand-up comedy, including Robin Williams, Bobcat Goldthwait, Brian Posehn, Wayne Federman, and more. Johnny is a regular at every major comedy club in Northern California, including the San Francisco Punch Line, Sacramento Punch Line and Cobbs Comedy Club, 142 Throckmorton Theater, and was recently featured on Comedytime.TV.

Kabir Singh

Tony Sparks

Tony Sparks’ first display of superhuman comedy hustle happened when he was 16 years old.  After deciding he wanted to be a comic, Sparks opened up the phone book and started cold-calling random rooms near his home in Little Rock, Ark. Fast forward to present day,  Tony is known as the “Godfather of Comedy” in San Francisco. Tony is a former host of the longest running and most famous open mic in San Francisco. Tony’s fun and free ad-lib comedy style makes him an audience favorite.

Kirk McHenry

Kirk was born and raised in Oakland, CA and blends all of his experiences together into a story-telling brand of comedy that has been likened to Bill Cosby with a Richard Pryor twist. From entertaining troops overseas to being featured on BET’s ComicView, BET’s One Mic Stand, and Jamie Foxx Laffapalooza, Kirk is well on his way to becoming a household name. Kirk has opened for comedic stars such as Paul Mooney, Bobby Slayton, Gary Owen, Charlie Murphy, Tommy Davidson and Eddie Griffin. We’re thrilled to welcome Kirk back to the Throckmorton with more of his dynamic side-splitting comedy.

Andrew Orolfo

Andrew Orolfo has been named one of the country’s “top knot” comedians by… don’t even ask, just go with it. An established staple in San Francisco comedy, he has been featured in SF Sketchfest and Bridgetown Comedy Festival. Andrew was born and raised in the Bay Area to Filipino parents. Stand-up comedy may not have been the career option his family hoped for, but like many of us, he’s still trying to figure this whole life thing out, which you’ll see reflected in his comedy. Listen to his stories, follow his journey and maybe figure things out with him along the way.
